IXTL Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 (edited) Custom or Arcadia getting into the itasha mood after the 30th anniversary VF-1J? http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-208271-1-1.html Edited May 28, 2013 by >EXO<
Britai 7018 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Oooooh.... this is a must preorder buy from me. Looks great! I hope it comes with a lot of extra decals to let us fully Itasha it.
skullmilitia Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Looks like a custom of one of the kits, but it's anyone's guess. Or if anyone translates the page lol.
Golden Arms Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 It looks official judging by the background, and the intake signs. Most welcome news!
raptormesh Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 In the spirit of MW I will start off the complaints with "is that visor really that pink?"
GXPT2000 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 The Japanese says they are making a "kit" for this scheme... Prepare, modelers? To those that don't want to build a kit...good luck.
Mommar Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Looks official, that's how all of Yamato's old pics were taken, same background and the stamp in the lower right corner. Maybe this deal with Hase means they get to use a lot of their custom paint schemes?
KiriK Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I'm so in if this is official!! hope it comes with matching Fastpacks eventually
IXTL Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 IXTL, you da man! Thanks! Price of 16,790yen has been mentioned in the Toysdaily thread. I believe that's the 30th VF-1J's MSRP too. Very steep pricing from Arcadia so far.
Golden Arms Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Looks official, that's how all of Yamato's old pics were taken, same background and the stamp in the lower right corner. Maybe this deal with Hase means they get to use a lot of their custom paint schemes? That would be awesome if they could. There are so many custom schemes they could make toys of, that utilize the existing molds. I've been picking up the master file books and have been blown away by the existence of so many cool schemes. This is the scheme that Arcadia should have lead with out of the box.
charger69 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 (edited) Nice moves Arcadia! Nice moves! I hope it's a finished product instead of a kit! P.S.: Could someone please clarify, when was the first time we saw Minmay Guard? Edited May 27, 2013 by charger69
EXO Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 The Japanese says they are making a "kit" for this scheme... Prepare, modelers? To those that don't want to build a kit...good luck. So these might be the unpainted kits with decals included? Oh well I'll update the front page when things solidify... Great news though.
Valkyrie23 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Awesome news! In for one whether its an assembled valk or kit.
Duymon Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I've been looking at a lot of Japanese macross blogs and a lot of fans said they'd rather have the minmei guard than the 30th 1J. Perhaps that had some influence? BTW the text that IXTL posted is just some background info about the Minmei Guard squadron
anime52k8 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Sounds expensive, I'll probably get one just because of the novelty though.
Duymon Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Perhaps people are going to start supporting Arcadia / Yamato at retail price-points because we don't want to see them go away again :0
505thAirborne Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 This is one I'd really love to own, time to start saving $$$!
EXO Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I wish they would figure out a kit that gives us a gray unpainted valk. I know... getting ahead... I'm still stoked.
jvmacross Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 (edited) It would appear Yamato/Arcadia has played out their fans real good....a tip of the hat to Bandai......so are short pre-order windows and limited supply soon to follow? Edited May 27, 2013 by jvmacross
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Perhaps people are going to start supporting Arcadia / Yamato at retail price-points because we don't want to see them go away again :0 i really hope there's high demand and people break the culture of waiting for yamato clearance sales at least for the vf-1 molds at the 16,790yen price.... hopefully for those in the states the yen to usd ratio stays low if this does release. the $300+ vf 17-19's on the other hand... donno and may have to wait for clearance if they raise prices lol
Valkyrie addict Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 (edited) OMG OMG OMG OMG!! HELL YEAH!!! And the tampo looks top notch! so many tampoed details!! Price must be of the completed toy. Perhaps the added price is for royalties for Hasegawa partnership. But I want it with Strike packs for that price. Edited May 27, 2013 by Valkyrie addict
Murphy Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Instant buy for me! I always wanted this scheme, I hope they makenmatching FP.
Valkyrie addict Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 In the spirit of MW I will start off the complaints with "is that visor really that pink?" Yes, it's supposed to be pink, but most models I've seen done have opted for a more red visor.
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 i wonder what color and design the gunpod will look like
Deadeye_281 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Now we're talking! That looks like tampo printing to me and a lot of it which could explain the higher price point perhaps. I'd love to see this thing with it's matching FPs like everyone else.
skullmilitia Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Same price as the 30th valk, so this one is probably a prebuilt/painted version.
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 i think they should've waited to release this news till after the sales of the 30th anniversary valk. this is so much nicer it will undercut pre-orders for the tuxedo valk.
David Hingtgen Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 That would be awesome if they could. There are so many custom schemes they could make toys of, that utilize the existing molds. I've been picking up the master file books and have been blown away by the existence of so many cool schemes. This is the scheme that Arcadia should have lead with out of the box. I would hope to see some VF-11's, using Hase/Masterfile schemes...
