Blazerwing Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) I just recently got a Yamato VF-11B macross plus edition, I was wondering if there are 2 different versions of it? All of the transformation vids ive found online are not for the one that I have. Edited May 22, 2013 by Blazerwing Quote
Benson13 Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 There were two versions of the 1/72 scale (with & without fastpacks). Then there is the 1/60 version. There were two versions of the 1/72 scale (with & without fastpacks). Then there is the 1/60 version. Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Benson is correct. However if you meant a VF-11 more generically rather than the B variant specifically, Yamato also released an 11C from Macross 7. Quote
mechaninac Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Yamato released the VF-11B from M+ twice, first with and then without the rainbow tinted canopy, then there is the VF-11C from M7. Quote
Blazerwing Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) I must have the 2nd release 1/72 M+ version, I don't have a rainbow tint canopy or FAST packs. Did the 1/60 scale versions come with the removable cockpit pod? Edited May 22, 2013 by Blazerwing Quote
Negotiator Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) Yes to answer your question about the pods and to clarify further, I believe, the 1/60 11c/b only come with fast packs. Edited May 22, 2013 by Negotiator Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Yes. Also the heat shield is integrated rather than a flimsy cheap piece of plastic that you tape or clip on that the 1/72 has. Quote
Gakken85 Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) 1/60 is on the left, 1/72 is on the right. You should have paid around $180+ for the 1/60. the 1/72 runs anywhere from $30-80 bucks. 1/60 is mostly plastic, 1/72 has more diecast. There are two version of the 1/72. The early version did not have a pilot. The later version did and had improved joints. The 1/60 did come with a pilot. Edited May 22, 2013 by Gakken85 Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Actually, the 1/60 VF-11B is becoming rare now, Angolz and HKC had it for around 170 I think, but they are out of stock now. Only place I see now that has it is hobbylocus on ebay and he immediately racked up the price to 200+ once Angolz ran out. Did you get it second hand?? why not FAST packs? the VF-11B came with FAST packs as far as I know, have not heard of a non FAST pack edition. Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Be cautious with the 1/72 non-FAST pack version. The hips are extremely susceptible to breaking. I have both versions and the one without broke on its own while in a sealed display in battroid mode. It was a very common occurrence with that version that was corrected in the FAST packed release.
