DB-5, DB-7 its an easy mistake to make if cars aren't your thing and you can't remember what number off hand the Aston Martin was. It's also not like went and claimed every Aston Martin of the last 20+ years looked the same like someone else did... DB. Sounds to me like he's only pretending he doesn't want it to be there. He sure seems to keep on finding it! Oh yeah I love the c*ck, just not Craigs as Bond Seriously though maybe I wouldn't have noticed or cared if he hadn't done all those interviews claiming he wanted to put a gay scene in. After that anytime he's half naked I wonder if he's trying to pander to the gay community especially when we saw more of his naked flesh than the Bond Girls in each of his films. Hell in Casino Royale he was the one that did the famous Ursula Andress rising from the ocean scene! Quote

Someone simply asked what car Bond drove, and you gave the wrong answer without going back and correcting it. Besides, if you don't remember the exact make and model, that's what Google is for. Quote

the white drew carey Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Interesting fact that I learned the other day: Sam Mendes is an alumnus of Magdalen College School, which is where I work. Quote

areaseven Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 It's been rumored that the new film will be an adaptation of the 2008 novel Devil May Care, a continuation of the James Bond 007 novel series by Sebastian Faulks. Also, Daniel Craig says he can't do schtick, but wants to bring back the classic 007 irony. Bond 24 to be based on novel Devil May Care? Daniel Craig on Bond 24: "Hopefully, we'll reclaim the old irony." Quote
dizman Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 If Craig can't do schtick then why do they want to do it? Did everyone forget how forced the one liners were when Dalton tried to do it in Living Daylights? They just about dropped all of the one liners in Licence to Kill. I haven't read Devil May Care, is it any good? Quote
EXO Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Schtick was what they waned to get rid of in the first place. And it was a good move. The problem with pastiche is that they're already doing it to the Bourne movies and not very well. Quote
Agent ONE Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Could someone define "classic 007 irony?" Quote

Duke Togo Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 No updates so far, but let's nitpick on Pierce Brosnan's best Bond film. Isn't that kind of like trying to pick which shite smells the best? It's a shame he was wasted on such bad scripts. Quote

Not really, Goldeneye was one of the better all around Bond films period, which makes the Brosnan films that came after all the more of a let down. Quote

renegadeleader1 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 We shall have to agree to disagree on that one, R1. Yeah I don't want to rehash that old argument, or our differing opinion Daniel Craig's movies. Humor me though, outside of those two what do you consider the good one's? From Russia with Love? License to Kill? Quote
MikeRoz Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 This Just In: Sam Mendes will return to the director's chair for Bond 24, which has been slated for a 2015 release (October 23 in the UK and November 6 in the U.S.). John Logan (The Time Machine, Star Trek: Nemesis), who co-wrote Skyfall, will also return to pen the new screenplay. Sam Mendes Confirmed for Bond 24 Bond 24 Confirmed for 2015, Sam Mendes and John Logan Both to Return Oh boooo, I'd rather have had David Arnold back. Quote
Duke Togo Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Goldfinger. From Russia with Love. On Her Majesty's Secret Service. And yes, I think Dalton's Bond films and criminally underrated. He's the proto-Craig Bond, and closer to Flemming's Bond than a lot of what we've been given. Quote

That's another argument I really don't feel like rehashing. Quote
TangledThorns Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 It'd be nice if the studios had better control over James Bond franchise, the same way Disney's Marvel does over their films. Its always hit or miss, more miss for the past twenty years. Quote
Agent ONE Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 ... On a side note, I always thought Dalton's Bond was under-appreciated. Absolutely Quote
TangledThorns Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I agree on Dalton too. Speaking of... The Living Daylights opening song is my favorite of all the Bond films. Quote
TangledThorns Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 More Bond sountrack love. This time for Eric Serra for his work on Goldeneye. I'm sure most here will recognize his work on Luc Besson's films back in the 1990s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k830wSv9lW8 Quote
Marzan Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I love "A View To a Kill". Excellent theme for a Bond movie and just a bloody great song to boot. I still think the most quintessential Bond theme though is "Goldfinger" Quote

M'Kyuun Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 As much as I like Hugo Weaving, it boggles my mind why they didn't get Christoph to play the Red Skull. Hugh's and Toby's really, really bad German accents and all English delivery, despite being Germans in Germany during WW II, made me cringe. Those initial scenes with Red Skull and Dr. Zola would have been better had they, at least initially, conversed in German. Just my opinion. Glad to hear he'll get a turn as a Bond villain. I like Craig's more serious, less cheeky take on the character. The schtick was wearing thin in the Brosnan movies, although I liked him as Bond. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I stand corrected, as far as the accent implied; however, as a scientist working for the Germans, he still should have been conversing in Deutsch, just with a Swedish accent. Quote
