spanner
im not a fan of the DB5 but that scale model is still mighty impressive! Shame you could easily tell in Skyfall that the car was a model and not the real thing.. Geez how hard could it have been to just make a 1:1 scale model of the bloody thing or just re-body an existing similarly sized car!? areaseven
As it turns out, James Bond has entered public domain in Canada, which means aspiring Canadian filmmakers can release their own James Bond film (except in the U.S.). A director/writer duo want to make a faithful adaptation of Ian Fleming's 1960 short story For Your Eyes Only, since it mostly takes place in Canada (as opposed to Greece in EON Productions' 1981 film). With James Bond in Canadian Public Domain, Filmmakers Hope to Remake For Your Eyes Only

Duke Togo
Bad News: The theme song won Best Original Song at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards. The Golden Globes results were a mess this year. There's a reason why I stopped watching these things years ago.

Graham
Heh, I can't even remember anything at all about the Spectre theme song. Nothing tops Skyfall for Bond theme songs IMO, so haunting
Sildani
I liked "You Know My Name", the theme of Casino Royale. "Thunderball" and "Goldfinger" are, of course, up there.

Duke Togo
Bad News: The bloody theme song won Best Original Song at the 88th Academy Awards. That was the greatest tragedy of the night. derex3592
I won't go there..... . Annnnyyywaaays --- I agree, didn't like the song, or the movie much honestly. Adele's Bond song and Casino Royal's "Know Your Name" and Goldfinger/Spy Who Loved Me are the tops for me. Ohh and Goldeneye was pretty good. peter
I finally watched this film.....Not as horrible as people made it out to be. There was a bit of corn in it (airplane chase scene, the corny specialy guns like the double 1911 etc), but probably not the worst Bond film I've seen. JetJockey
I finally watched this film.....Not as horrible as people made it out to be. There was a bit of corn in it (airplane chase scene, the corny specialy guns like the double 1911 etc), but probably not the worst Bond film I've seen. Without starting a flame topic, part of me feels that the people who don't like Spectre aren't the biggest Bond fans to begin with. They either hate the formula or think Casino Royale or even Skyfall are the best Bond movies. I think Spectre is Daniel Craig's best Bond film. It's the first time he's really played Bond if you look at his character in all his previous movies. Yes, that airplane chase was straight out of The World is not Enough method of thinking. Save the girl and get some of her trust just like the scene with Elektra. But it did have a bit of a Licence to Kill shot homage with the plane. And Hinx was awesome in all his scenes. The world of Spectre is exotic and fun like the old Bond movies. Yet still dangerous. Too bad it took Daniel Craig four movies to make this one. But it's a good one to go out on. I would be surprised if he comes back. The ending pretty much closed the book on his Bond and it would be perfect for a reboot now. The James Bond 007 franchise set another Guinness World Record; this time for "Largest Film Stunt Explosion". While the explosion was very impressive, it made SPECTRE look really weak in the story, as all Bond needed to do was fire a couple of shots at the gas mains. That's another thing that I think people missed or forgot about how Spectre works. Yes blowing stuff up is what happens in these movies. But Spectre in particular always self destructed their bases when found out from the beginning. Dr. No said it, that he would destroy the base and move on. Also You Only Live Twice had the lever to blow up the base. There is the shot in Spectre of Blofeld and a few trucks leaving. I took that as them blowing up the base as they knew it would be raided.
