Knight26 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 My wife wants me to take the kids to see this on the 24th right after they get out of school Quote
areaseven Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 Despite having collected US$150 million at the box office, it looks like this film's marketing was an Epic Fail. Epic landed in 4th place on opening weekend, displaying an example of bad timing as Furious 6 and The Hangover Part III opened on the same day and Star Trek Into Darkness continues to rake in ticket sales. Critics have not been kind to the film, either, as it's rated at 61% on Rotten Tomatoes. Some critics have deemed Epic to be too derivative of FernGully: The Last Rainforest. Such a shame, as it did look good on the trailers. Quote
Knight26 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I took the boys to it openning day, they really enjoyed it, it was hardly new material, but was put together in a fun way. I'm sure it will do better on DVD, it was a bad weekend for it to come out, as even the theatre we went to was still showing ST:ID and IM3. Quote
