derex3592 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Thought I would share some pics of this over here in the toy forum since it is a toy technically. This was my first ever attempt at modifying a Yamato Valk that involved major re-painting. It wasn't to bad, but I still give mad props to those guys who have built the kit version. I can say just after doing this little bit I would never attempt it. This was a Kaki TV version I picked up "before the fall" for $98 shipped. Enjoy... Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 wow, nice paint job with the greens, everyone has so much talent around here. Quote
Valkyrie Magnus Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Nice Derex! I might do this myself too. Great job! Quote
Jasonc Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Nice job. I'm working on one of these with the kit version. Always wanted the Alaska Base version 1A. Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Great job!!! love it!! You can use a gray Gundam marker to paint the head laser housing gray. Just pointing out also you're missing the red triangles on the shoulder pads. Have you transform it? Quote
derex3592 Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 (edited) yeh..i know..but THANKS for noticing!!! and callin me out for it! and no...I'm not gonna transform it. I already know what would happen. LOL. He's gonna stay as a battroid as that how he was in the show. Edited May 14, 2013 by derex3592 Quote
caslon Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I love that green! It looks greater than Yamato's one...haha! Quote
Gakken85 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 You should buy up like 10 of the no-paints and paint them. You could sell them here for a good profit I bet Quote

kyekye Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 So this is not the kit version? And you repainted it!? It came out pretty clean! Nice job. Did you have to disassemble some parts for repaint? Quote
derex3592 Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Yup. Not the kit version. Screw that. Just a Kaki TV repaint. Go over and check my build thread in "Workshop" forum. Quote
Armor 1 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Very well done, the green/white color combo really pops! Quote
