Astralith Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I just bought the 30th Ann Hikaru VF-1S. One of the missile hard points snapped off. Do I glue it on? If so, what glue? Acetone weld? Anybody want to sell me a starboard wing? HELP!!! Quote
usagiz Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I did the same thing with my TV VF-1s when I tried putting the super part missiles on.. I used 2-part epoxy to glue just the sides of the hard point to the wing, and its holding the reaction missiles just fine. Hope that works for ya! Quote
Astralith Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Thank you for the speedy reply USAGIZ. I brashly pushed ahead with my own fix before I read it though. I spot welded it with a droplet of acetone to melt the ABS plastic (holding firmly in place with the flat of my hobby knife to avoid sticky fingers) and a bead of styrofoam as a solder and then a drop of glue too. It took about an hour to dry. She's locked and loaded ;-) Quote
shdwfx2000 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 hey. the styrofoam idea is actually kinda brilliant! Quote
