gwfalcon Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) Like the ve-11 thunder seeker design a lot. Spend a couple of hours and try to get a 1/60 set for my 11B Add black and white colors but not in a correct way: the software is not so intelligent... Hope I can get the first set printed in a couple of weeks May 24 2013 -- small update: bottom part almost ready Edited May 24, 2013 by gwfalcon Quote
Mommar Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Wow, that's cool. I hadn't seen that model before. Are you going to repaint an 11B to match as well? Quote
Kurisama Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Nice work dude! Figured out how you're going too attach it yet? I was going to do one of these eventually, looks like you'll save me the trouble! Quote
gwfalcon Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 o.O! Wtf!! Nice!! Thanks, man! wooooow amazing!!!! Haha, thanks for your kind words! Wow, that's cool. I hadn't seen that model before. Are you going to repaint an 11B to match as well? Thanks for your support. Yap, I got a spare 11b and want to repaint it. However, my painting skill is lousy. Want to commit some friends to do the painting after the design. great start GW! Thanks, EXO, for your support! Nice work dude! Figured out how you're going too attach it yet? I was going to do one of these eventually, looks like you'll save me the trouble! Great to hear that, my friend! Looking forward to it. Yeah, the attachment is a problem to me too... Quote
Graham Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I've always imagined the VF-11's external radar dish as attaching to the Super Packs via an upside down 'T' shape bar, â”´ with the horizontal bar of the upside down 'T' sitting between the Super Packs and connecting to them and the radar dish sitting on the end of the vertical strut of the â”´ . That's just how I've always thought it's set up. As we never saw the radar dish equipped VF-11 without Super Packs in Macross 7, I've always assumed the radar dish connected to the super parts rather than directly to the VF-11 itself. I'll be interested to see how Hasegawa has the connection set up. Graham Quote
Chronocidal Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 You could probably rig up a very nice mount that way actually. If you made it a sort of adapter that you plug in underneath the packs, it'd really be sturdy. Quote
Mommar Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 That was the same sort of rigging I was thinking would always work for the 11 as well. It has the added benefit of working in all three modes too. Quote
gwfalcon Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Nice bro, thanks for sharing. BTW, a small update on the bottom piece (see the top post) Quote
