neptunesurvey Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 E gads, what a monster. Is there a provision for a flying stand of some kind, or do we need to make our own? No base will be provided. It will be cheaper to find your own. Quote
tundrayeti Posted May 21, 2013 Author Posted May 21, 2013 I may provide some fishing line and duct tape free of charge... Quote

tundrayeti Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Small delay folks. May have a bad batch of resin. Not setting properly. Mostly On the armored valks. Not too bad still got the first few going out this week. Quote
AndrewDrexler Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 How is the casting on these going by chance? Quote
tundrayeti Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 All the small parts were casted before wonderfest. The main bodies are what is time consuming takes about 45 minutes to an hour for each one. That plus the ups guy destroying my 5 gallon resin delivery is what held up those. But I got the resin replaced and I'm cranking these out as fast as I can. I'll be sending out the first 5-6 orders t by this weekend. So hang in there folks I hope to have the board cleared soon. The armored valks molds are curing as well since the old ones were damaged. Thanks guys! Quote
AndrewDrexler Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Ouch, I can imagine the mess that 5 gallons of resin on the floor would cause.. Thanks for the update. Quote
tundrayeti Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 Yeah it would suck and I might have felt bad for him if he didn't mark it as delivered. Luckily my supplier is very cool an replaced it as fast as possible. They now have to go after ups for reimbursement. Quote
MechTech Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Thanks for pressing on with this despite all the setbacks! That sucks about the delivery guy, but great your supplier is so helpful! Man, 5 gallons! My family doesn't even drink 5 gallons of milk in a week! Pour on man, pour on! - MT Quote
Felindar Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 They arrived today. Sweeeeeeettttttt Ok Is there a list of how the pieces look when cleaned up I am working off of pictures and trying to figure out what is going where and what needs to be trimmed. Quote
tundrayeti Posted August 10, 2013 Author Posted August 10, 2013 Just a quick update folks. I know some of you have received your kits and some are still waiting. The main body mold finally gave out and I am making another. should have this wrapped up soon. Please be patient, I'm working as fast as I can. Had to take a couple days off due to a cold. Thanks again folks. Quote
Ranger565 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Man I have not been around here in so long. Looks really good. Quote
AndrewDrexler Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 This is really a nice kit.. but the main hull is so heavy I am having issues figuring out how to paint and mount it. Quote
Felindar Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Here are decals for the scout I made up. Quote
MechTech Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Thanks Felindar, do you have a placement guide?- MT Quote
Felindar Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 OK I am Red Green color bilind and I can tell the matched and printed from the sample on Tamias page is way too dark. I am making up a new set to be cut out of the vinyl stickers. Please don't use those. I am making up a new set. I will list sizes and collors for ordering from Ebay. I am going to get a set of Yellow and a set of Black stickers cut by Sticker Fool. Quote
Felindar Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Ok I am working up new stickers to be vinyl cut in black and yellow. For some reason I can not post a link or URL at this time. A search for "Quel-Quallie Theater Scout Pod" will find the line drawing from all sides I am using to design the stickers. An Ebay search for " Crap I can not even paste. VOLCOM ANY SIZE OR COLLOR CUSTOM CUT VINYL DECAL STICKER will find the person I am having make them. Quote
Felindar Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Here is what I am working on now. And the yellow. Both are 3 inches high and should cost about $10 with shiping. There will be extras for those who do not have 2 And the Yellow. They are both 3 inches high and should run about $10 with shipping. Quote
MechTech Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 That looks great Felindar! Are you able to put them on a page format to be printed out on a decal sheet? The cut vinyl sheet are cool, but will be lumpy when painting By the way, where did you get the smaller Macross figures below them? The buildings look cool too! Thanks! - MT Quote
tundrayeti Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Yes it is the next run will has been started and i will get the rest out in the next few weeks. Quote
Felindar Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 A few notes. If you want longer legs. A papermate pen, with the writing portion pulled out matches up perfectly with the bottom of the leg. The brass rod will wedge into it and stick out the top to extend the leg very sturdily for a longer look. the hinges are really hard to work with if you want it possible in more than one mode. So I made different ones out of my platformers set. The doors are not designed to open and close like in a game piece so took some filing. If you ever do recast it from scratch making the eye in 2 seperat pieces that you glue on would be great. Getting that border of white and green perfect is a bit difficult. The piece is so large that holding it steady to work makes that difficult. Being able to spray and glue the White of the eye like I did the puepule. would have been wonderfull. It is good you are doing another run. I have several Tactics players drooling over it. Any word on the Re entry pod? Quote
Felindar Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Customstickers503 is making up the stickers on ebay. you will have to special order them but I told him to keep the files just in case. Quote
