But seriously, as a colleague of mine once said, there are all kinds of other more expensive stuff (i.e. watches, cars, etc) that men can collect, so toys in comparison are relatively cheap. They are fun to play with, nostalgic, and sometimes a beauty to behold.

To me, toys are pure indulgence as they serve no practical purpose. Expensive watches, cars, ect still have a function.
