Macross Plus Movie Edition Auditions

[Hikuro]

Set 30 years after the events of Macross, a new generation explores the far reaches of the galaxy and colonize planets to expand the human population, ensuring that culture exists forever.
Isamu Dyson, a reckless and hot tempered pilot becomes the newest addition to Eden, a planet he's been before, to test the one of the newest Variable fighters, the YF-19 in competition against his old high school rival now pilot, Guld Bowman and his YF-21.
Little did they know, fate has a strange twist over them as a former flame, Myung, returns to Eden as the producer of the now hottest singer of the galaxy, Sharon Apple, a holographic AI with a secret.
With the three now reunited, what passion and hate will boil to the breaking point? And how will this affect the outcome of their lives forever?


Macross Plus was once regarded as one of the most beautifully animated and story written Original Video Animations of it's time, still at the top of many fans lists since it's release back in 1994.
Now at Macross' 30th Anniversary, I felt it was time to finally give fans what they were dreaming of having, an English language dubbed variation of a film t hat was never released to them other than in Japanese.

Auditions will be held until May 31st or until I have said there's enough, which I will state here at the top of the page. Once auditions have ended I'll put it to the test by the Macross fans themselves over who will be the cast of the film.

Please do not audition if you do not have the time.

Audio must be kept clean, please try to avoid puffs, hisses and background noises as they tend to be distracting.

To audition simply click on this youtube link, all the main cast are presented with the script in subtitle format. Your auditions will be placed in the new english audio I'm making and will be then judged in a poll by the fans.

Here are the characters we have for audition. Look over the characters you're considering to audition that you feel best fit your abilities. Then click on this youtube link and watch the audition footage for your character. The subtitles are the script of the films English version which'll be used in the production.
The Audition Film is 8 minutes long as it contains interactions between characters that'll help you better understand them, and to help the fans pick who they want to hear as the characters.

Isamu Dyson
A hot headed brash individual once a resident of Eden until he left to join the UN Spacy. He's considered a reckless individual and bounces station to station due to his superiors having their fill of his attitude.


Guld Boaman
Half Zentraedi and Half Human, a rival of Isamu since they were young. He's become the pilot of choice for the YF-21, a Variable fighter using brain waves to pilot this sophisticated fighter. He blames Isamu for an event that occured 7 years ago between him, Isamu and Myung.


Myung Fonelone
Once Dalmation Highschool's festival idol, Myung once an aspiring singer, now works as the producer of Sharon Apple, the galaxy's first A.I. songstress. Myung has a hatred for Eden and her past due to an incident that occured 7 years ago between her, Isamu and Guld.


Sharon Apple
Think of Sharon as a more advanced version of Vocaloid. She's considered to be the hottest performer in the galaxy after Lynn Minmay. However she has a dark secret that many except Myung, Professor Reyman and Doctor Marj know of.


Professor Rayman
Professor Reyman created the Artifical Intelligence program that would later become Sharon Apple. He believes technology and culture will one day become one and the same and lead humanity into a new cultural identity.


Doctor Marj
Not much is known about Marj, he's very mysterious and has plans of his own that Professor Reyman and Myung have no clue about. His obsession with Sharon Apple is key to the mystery.


Yang Nueman
Considered a genius by many, and a fool by many more, Yang is the chief designer of the YF-19, the Variable Fighter that Isamu is about to pilot. On his spare time Yang shows off his obsession over Sharon Apple by attempting to hack her programming and gain control over her. He also tends to show he's quiet the otaku.


Lucy
Lucy works in the CIC room inside the New Edwards base on the planet Eden. She, along with Yang are fans of Sharon Apple, but she becomes more of a fan over Isamu Dyson.


Colonel Millard
Millard is a veteran of the first space war and has seen more than his fair share of combat with the great skull leader, Ichijo Hikaru. Now he's commander and overseer of Project Nova, the competition between the YF-19 and the YF-21 on the New Edwards base on Eden.


Kate
Kate is a long time friend of Myung. More known of being a trouble maker and man chaser than her friend Myung. Over the last 7 years she's adjusted, married and now has 2 children.


Morgan
Kate's other half. A tall and large friend of Myung who is married to Kate and father of their 2 children.
