I watched the trailer on my 65in plasma using the Youtube app and it looked amazing! I recommend you do the same if you own a large screen smart TV. That being said I can't wait to see the whole film on the big screen!!

Just curious, I know the Japanese hated the last Godzilla remake so does anyone know how they feel about this new re-remake?

I'm not crazy about the Godzilla design. It smacks of bad studio collaberation, which sucks because the toys will be lame, but the treatment looks serious and badass

How so? It looks pretty good to me, at least its not as bad as the googly eyed version from Son of Godzilla, the version that looks like cookie monster, the 90s version that looks like a fat cat, or the animatronic puppet from the Return of Godzilla that ruined an otherwise good looking suit.

I went to see the 300 tonight, and saw the trailer for Godzilla before it. There was something awe inspiring seeing it on the big screen that just doesn't translate to pc screens or mobile phones. It gave me goosebumps and had my heart racing, so I'll be back opening night for Godzilla! It doesn't hurt either my local megaplex is renovating and has installed motorized leather recliners!

Uh, dude, did you miss all the Godzilla movies where he is totally destroying everything in sight?

I think the vast majority of Japanese have disassociated Godzilla as a bad guy because the sets are so obviously fake, that every time he takes down a skyscraper or steps on a house, they know its fake, or assume its empty.

This new Godzilla is done with the best special effects applied to the franchise yet, with BODIES strewn all over the place, you see the faces in buildings that Godzilla pancakes. Its more realistic than previous iterations, and they cant accept their idol for what he is a force of nature.

First of all those movies you are refering to are the late 60s to 70s ones. The two 80s ones along with the 90s ones tend to be very dark overall. The millenium series is a mixed bag, but I'm pretty sure Godzilla is cruel and evil in GMK all monsters attack.

I'm avoiding that extended look trailer as I don't want to see any spoilers. I'm happy with just a teaser and then a full trailer if I'm sold on a movie. Still, I can't wait! Godzilla is at the top of my must-see list!!

When my son and I saw Captain America 2 the other day, he was freaking out excited about the new godzilla movie trailer. When we got home, instead of talking about how much he loved captain america ( he did love it by the way - we both did), he just kept talking about how excited he is about the new Godzilla movie. I am too. This is a must see in the theaters film. Cant wait!
