Swooshiex Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I know that there are three different colors: grey, black, silver. But I noticed that the box designs differ. Which are the latest versions and do they differ from the earlier versions? Any pictures? Thank you!! Quote
NightCastle Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I second that. I just got a few Yamato 1/60 models (primarily have been a Bandai collector) and need to get a few stands. Quote

GXPT2000 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Speaking of stands from Yamato... although a bit off topic, how are the Mighty Block Stands from Yamato? they seem to be very cheap from HLJ.. Quote
CF18 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) The launch arm stand had four versions. Original greenish gray, reissued a few times: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10139388 Black: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048004 Silver: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048005 Dark blue: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10114747 Main problem with this stand is very high center of gravity with no hinge at the top, so it cannot hold the unit safely at extreme angles. They also made a smaller "Mighty block" stand: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10088025 Main problem with this stand is the hinges are not strong enough without some simple modification, and it is not tall enough for most battroid mode VF. Original YF-21 and all Sv-51 came with a very good stand, but it is not compatible with the stand adaptors in other VFs. Speaking of stands from Yamato... although a bit off topic, how are the Mighty Block Stands from Yamato? they seem to be very cheap from HLJ.. They only have the "display base" left. They are just little shelves, no arm. Edited April 9, 2013 by CF18 Quote

SaitouSad Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 lol whats the point in that...might as well get the tamashii stages. Does the Tamashii stages even work for the Yamato 1/60 Valks? I would think even the stage 5 can't hold those. Quote

Gakken85 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Can't believe these thing sare selling for 100 bucks. Sad that the hobby is so hard up for decent stands. Quote
SaitouSad Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I know right?I've been looking for alternatives, and even considering those flight stands for planes, but can't find anything remotely decent. The closest we'll get is the Shapeway Adapters for Gundam bases, but even those have certain limits Quote
