Just an endorsement to JV's posts and accuracy. With his experience, i was able to sell 2.5K worth of valks priced below real market value in 2 weeks. Having this thread helps buyers tremendously.

Let me know if you want to sell a yf-21, vf-22 or yf-30 below real market value lol

Also on the hunt for Yamato 1/60 defender

oh man, i don't have those, i sold my YF-30 long time ago on MW for 199 misb and don't currently own any 1/60 destroids. you can see a partial view of my collection (vf-1's) in the display thread. i haven't included the multiples or bandai stuff, but that's pretty much it for yamatos.

Wow, do they not even know about the search function on ebay. There are multiple brand new ones on sale for about $100 less. I can only assume that they were willing to pay a premium price to get it from a US seller.

I dunno. The bids seemed to be stable until the 2nd to the last one which caused it to go from $200 to $500. Is that usually normal?

The winning bidder put in a high max bid so it automatically outbid the person right before. The winner probably put in an even higher max bid than what he/she ended up paying. If you select to see all automatic bids you can see that the winner only bid once on 4/30. After that each time someone else put in a bid amount they were automatically outbid by the winner. The second to last person put in a $500 bid with only 13 seconds left to go, probably hoping that a last second high bid would win it. They were wrong.

Thanks for the explanation. Been awhile since I used Ebay. I thought someone was just putting a troll bid at the last minute to artificially increase the price.

Man, there's a lot of myths and legends going on at eBay. I still buy and bid but up to the point where I set what's my max by doing research and all before splurging a big amount if money. And also, I once got outbid by the seller itself.

Sad but true.

I think shill bidding is also a big problem on YJA.

I see many items relisted after being "sold"....:db:

Yamato 1/60 YF-21.....used......31,600 JPY

https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v499582790

I almost bid on that! It was only 20100 up until the last 5-10 mins hahaha

Here's one I found on evil bay:

Yamato 1/60 YF-21, complete in excellent condition from original owner, decals not applied *drum roll* 255 USD shipped

Still expensive but a bargain given current market prices.

Hahaha! Well, I really wanted a VF-1J TV CF but not in that astronomical prices. I'm just going to wait for the price to go up so that nobody will be able to afford it and then David will get stuck with his stock, then ofcouse in the end, he will consider to sell it to me in Yamato clearance price. That's a good plan. Right David? ^_^

Probably that's like what 5 years from now? Or it probably not going to happen either.

just pm'd you. it most likely will, the prices last year was at a decent range and only recently in the last 6 months these yamatos starting creeping up in prices. like i can't believe how much the arcadia vf-0s goes for...
