Falcon18 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Exactly, if I'm allowed to change the name of this franchise, it should be SDF Money, Money Plus, Money 7, Money Frontier and because of that we always end up with Money Zero Priceless  Quote
Gakken85 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Went to the local annual Anime con. $60 bucks to get in and all the toys on hand are Ebay prices or worse. So sad. Only macross I saw was a V1 VF-25g. Most of the guys just carry gundam kits and have no clue about Macross or don't stock it. haha Quote

An entire floor (part of where they hold the North American Auto Show, so huge) dedicated to merchandise and no Macross to be seen. Was really disappointed. -b. Quote
Gakken85 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Yeah it's all figma junk and gundam models. No style haha. This one guy had a garage sell stand and He's like, "Yeah I didn't bring any macross, you have to really know that stuff and it's hard to sell." whatever that means. Quote

This one guy had a garage sell stand and He's like, "Yeah I didn't bring any macross, you have to really know that stuff and it's hard to sell." whatever that means. Because unfortunately, all most folks know over here is the R-word. Even my friends that KNOW BETTER still shake their head at my Macross toy collection and then proceed to try to talk to me about Shadow Chronicles as if I've seen it, or a Robotech live action film (to which my reply usually has a lot of harsh language). If it weren't for web-based shops, or places overseas that have a web presence I'd be flat SOL trying to collect just about anything Macross. -b. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Yeah. I take HLJ for granted haha Yep, same here. It's the first place I ever found when I was hunting for the Yamato 1/72 scale YF-19 since there were "issues" with a stateside Toycom release, around 1999/2000. -b. Quote

Kanedas Bike Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Who got the VF-4 for $280? haha Saw that too, I would have passed if I saw it while it was still available as it was missing at least (1) missile and seemed that the box and or Valk might have been just a little worse for the wear. Great buy if someone is going to customize it. -b. Quote

Dimis Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 vf-1s maxes are so expensive. I just took a spare roy and used the blue decals from one of the earlier yammy unpainted kits to make my max And the weathered VF-1S maxes are unreachable. I have Roy's and Hikaru's weathered S, but i have given up on Max's. For the last two years i've not seen it sell for less than Y40,000 so with Proxy fees and shipping, $500 Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 See...before now I hadn't even thought about trying to collect a Weathering Edition VF-1S Max (or any Weathering Edition) but now I kind of want one just to make it a new "holy grail". -b. Quote

Frogze Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 vf-1s maxes are so expensive. I just took a spare roy and used the blue decals from one of the earlier yammy unpainted kits to make my max I thought about doing that too, bought a Yamato 1S kit and a Roy DYRL and they've been gathering dust since I found a used Max on Mandarake meanwhile. I was wondering if the decals are maybe a bit transparent and make the blue accents look a bit greenish? Do you have some pics of that custom? Quote
