Difference between 30th anniversary super strike parts and older editi

Hi,

Is there any difference between the 30th anniversary super strike parts and older editions, e.g. those that come packaged with Valkyries?

Also, for the super strike parts, is there a tv version and a separate DYRL version?

The 30th Anniv Super & Strike Parts (a.k.a. SSP) set comes with the optional parts (armpit covers, etc).

SSP automatically refers to the DYRL version of the FAST parts. The TV counterpart is the Super Parts set, which has a lighter color, different armor armor design and without the dual beam cannon option.

The ebay one you linked is the old 1:60 version 1, and will not fit the current 1:60 version 2.

Here's another little tip, if you're cruising eBay and see a Valkyrie from Yamato that's pretty cheap look at the image.

If its an open window and you can see the figure, that there would be the early hand sculpted style Yamato did way back when they first started doing the macross line.

Their accessories are completely incompatible with what Yamato came out with back in 2008 which were the V2 style done on autocad.

v2 products and others after 2005 (even the old 1/48s) have either a flip open lid to see the item or are completely covered like the other items posted recently.

While the v2 Valkyries are far superior, I never had any real issue with the V1s as collectibles.

However v2 and 30th anniversary items by Yamato are entirely the same but boxed differently for the most part

TV version of the Fast Packs don't come with a cannon since they never appeard in the SDF Macross TV series. So with the TV Fast packs you're getting more accurate (lighter) color but minus the cannon.
