treatment Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 1/48 scale is really just too tiny for any of the Votoms mecha... Quote

They're definitely not for everyone but I got mine dirt cheap and think they're a ton of fun. If they can get us those missing ones I'll be super stoked. Too bad they're not AGN but hopefully that means the price point is attractive. Take me to a preorder! Quote
Chet Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Hope they bring back Dual Model Zwei, too. Quote

Honestly though, with today's tech they could do even better at that scale so if they go that root I hope we get a full DM3. Quote

But yeah, would love to see a new Votoms in 1/18 since 1/12 is too big for me. By the way, Jenius, how big are those 1/48's? Thanks! Â Quote
jenius Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Bite size! Next time I have my votoms toys out I'll add measurements to this pic. Quote
no3Ljm Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Actually, I went to your site earlier to check that one and I noticed that there was no size so I asked just in case you remember how big it is in real life. Looking forward to the updated scale sizes soon.  Quote
Big s Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 I understand some people don't like the small toys, but the arctic gear figures pack so much detail and articulation into a tiny package. They're great for the collector with limited space and they're awesome for people who do dioramas. I always wondered if someone ever made a table top game using them as playing pieces. Quote
Chet Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 They also display great with Yamato 1/48 Valkyries. Quote

Big s Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 If they were able to be as detailed and as poseable at that scale I'd buy into it. Although imagine the size of accessories. I would be a bit worried about losing them. Quote
no3Ljm Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Not sure if this has been posted. Schizophonic9's review of Volks 1/35 Berserga Super Execusion. Looks nice. Â Quote

Big s Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 It's nice to see a review for a volks plastic kit. It's very hard to find any. after seeing the kits in person at the volks booth at anime expo, I was very impressed by the looks. Quote
no3Ljm Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) 1/48 Actic Gear Series AG-V18 AT Chronicles I Cumene's Battle Y9000 (Set of 3) Includes: Marsh Dog, Strike Dog, Berserga  Edit: Revised the spelling from Arctic to Actic.  Edited February 8, 2017 by no3Ljm Quote
jenius Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) Huh? Should be an AGEX if it's a bundle set... Some AGEX were standalone releases too but it seems to fit more in the EX line right? Edited February 7, 2017 by jenius Quote
Vifam7 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) Is it "Arctic Gear" or "Actic Gear"? The Japanese katakana pronunciation is closer to the latter and even the placards spells it in English without the "r". Just wondering... was the line at one time called Arctic but now is Actic?  Edited February 7, 2017 by Vifam7 Quote
mechaninac Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 If Bandai ever delves into VOTOMS within their H-M R line I'll be in so much financial trouble... Quote
jenius Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Always Actic but I think it often auto corrects to Arctic. Quote
Big s Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 As far as misspellings of arctic, I like tag hobby with action gear. Anyway just got my preorder in. Quote
jenius Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Action gear certainly makes more sense. Who has a pre-order up? I came up empty at the usual suspects. Quote
Big s Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Hlj and hobbysearch had it up last night. Quote

Big s Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 They're small, but they can do it all. all joking aside they are very poseable and can even do downform and have great detail. Quote
jenius Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 I'm going to have to review some soon... been looking for a reason to play with my votoms toys again. Quote
Big s Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 If you do a review and you own a burglary dog, then I suggest that one due to all fun and accessories. It was probably my favorite. It had swappable lower legs and an awesome folding cannon and you could convert it into a standard scopedog. Quote
jenius Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Roger that, but I think I should start with AGV and work my way to AGN... that would take a long time though... this will take some thought. Quote

Let me know when you're going to open your 1/12 soon so I can ask the stickers again.  And on the other news. Volks showcased their 1/24 Snapping Turtle at WonderFest 2017. I'm assuming 1/24 is a good size like a 7-8 inches figure?  Quote
Big s Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I'm a bit surprised that Volks went 1/24 instead of 1/35, but more votoms news is always good news. Quote
no3Ljm Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I don't have Votoms kit but how's the quality of Volks kits? I'm more of a GunPla guy before so based on that how can you compare Volks kits to that? TIA. Â Quote
Big s Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Their kits are getting close to bandai quality and ease of part separation. Every kit gets better. They are very impressive when seen upclose and the larger ones are very poseable and have a bit of a skeleton to build on like an mg gundam. If you ever get a chance to go to an event I recommend checking out their booth. They usually do anime expo and a few others. Their employees are very helpful and don't mind showing what's in the box. They also usually have all the kits built on display. They also have a store in or near Torrance C.A. Quote
