spanner Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Latest photos from TagHobby. Weathered effect looks top notch. gotta say that looks pretty bloody good! but bugger me if I can afford to start another line of collectibles.. Quote
treatment Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Any official mention of any die-cast or any metal content at all on this figure? Quote
Big s Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Looks like the arctic gear line is making a comeback. I don't know if they are the same 1/48 scale, but I'm very interested. Also more wave 1/35 kits like the scopedog red shoulder custom and the one I was really hoping for, the blood sucker. I really don't think that one has ever had a plastic kit until now. It's gonna be some great times for votoms fans with kits and toys in various scales. Quote

jenius Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 When someone mentioned am HMR Scopedog I immediately thought AGN. If it's coming back, great, we need Strike and Rabidly Dogs. Quote
Big s Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I think it's the same an the agn figures in the same scale. I saw the pictures at the tag hobby site on the takara/tomy section for the hobby show. They also look like they have those same info cards. I can't read Japanese so I can't give a great rundown on all that's there, but there are pictures. Wave also has some new 1/24 scale kits like a burglary dog and marshy dog and another scopedog variant with sitting and standing Fyana figures shown on the dengeki hobby site. Quote

Is this what you are referring to? Looks like a Strikedog =) but in the AG-V variant =( I was really hoping for a continuation of the AG-N line which had die-cast legs/feet and a painted pilot and interior. I never had the chance to get the previous releases. =( Edited October 4, 2016 by Daedalus Punch Quote
Big s Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 I think that berserga may be a new variant. I know the old line did the first version, but this looks like the later version. I could be wrong thoug. I really wish I could read all the info on that tag hobby page. Quote
jenius Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Is it 3 toys on the AT line up list looking thing? Quote
Big s Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 There also a teaser for a strike dog, so that may be 4 for the Arctic gear series coming soon. I just pulled out my burglary dog from the old series and it was a lot of fun. I hope they keep going with these. Quote
jenius Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 AGV needed a Zwerg, Strike, Rabidly, ecrevisse, and Strong Bacchus, I think that would do it for the original series and ovas... but I'm probably forgetting something. Quote
Big s Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 What about my favorite from the last red shoulder, the bloodsucker as an Arctic gear figure. I am super happy it's getting a kit from wave though. Quote
no3Ljm Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 So anyone preordered the ThreeZero one? Quote
treatment Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) CDX has a review of the preproduction version of the upcoming ScopeDog from ThreeZero: https://youtu.be/CSM-1MjlLsU Josh just confirmed that it's all-plastic... edit: not sure if the forum is still messing up the urls or whatever... jenius Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Looks beautiful though really expensive for incremental improvement to the Yamato. Quote
Big s Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Would it be wrong to have an arctic gear scopedog riding in the three zero scopedog?😁 Quote
AIRMAG Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Anyone know if these are 1/48 scaled? Quote
jenius Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 They look like it, but we've already had marshy dogs and Bersergas. Quote
AIRMAG Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 They look like it, but we've already had marshy dogs and Bersergas. Hmmmm.....possible AG-N variant? =] Quote
no3Ljm Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I did Nice. Looking forward to your review on this one, Jenius. Btw, just in case you stumbled on those decal of yours, do let me know via PM. I remember messaging you before about it. CDX has a review of the preproduction version of the upcoming ScopeDog from ThreeZero: https://youtu.be/CSM-1MjlLsU Josh just confirmed that it's all-plastic... edit: not sure if the forum is still messing up the urls or whatever... That looks gorgeous. Me wants it. But my wallet says no... for now. Quote
Big s Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 I wasn't absolutely sure if those are the same scale as before, but they don't look very large and they have those same info cards so I'm just going to assume they are 1/48 until I'm told otherwise. Quote
jenius Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Btw, just in case you stumbled on those decal of yours, do let me know via PM. I remember messaging you before about it. Decals? Oh man, I've forgotten. Shoot me a reminder. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 I'm debating if I should preorder this. Never got a Scopedog. Quote
no3Ljm Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Decals? Oh man, I've forgotten. Shoot me a reminder. Reviving a PM, dear good sir. I'm debating if I should preorder this. Never got a Scopedog. Me too. A 1/12 scale is really a great Votoms centerpiece figure. But, for me, it is really too big. And with that price, I was hoping to get some accessories atleast. Like Red Shoulder Custom accessory. Or interchangeable legs for Turbo Custom. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Yes, with more accessories I would feel more comfortable preordering it. Quote
jenius Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Let's say you were 3A and you were selling a $500 scopedog, so you ran the company (this is an internal debate I was having). Since the Scopedogs are so modular which would you do:1) Sell multiple variants that are only slightly different: (clean, weathered, red shoulder, space war (green), marshy dog, turbo custom) or would you:2) Sell conversion kits that comes with new legs and/or accessories? If I made a Melkia version, I would either include a purple bear conversion kit or sell one separately. Quote
CoreyD Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Clearly it's option 1, but that doesn't make me lose hope that they'll eventually sell Chirico separately. Quote
Big s Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 At least it has a fully articulated pilot. The cost is very high overall and the size is a bit too big for me after trying to find space for the hmr monster, but I still admire it. Quote
Capedbaldy Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 (edited) I don't think three zero has ever dealt with diecast, so it shouldn't be a shock. They use sturdy plastic though. Can't be worse than the yamoto designs and they had almost no diecast. I am in for one after seeing their other robot suits from video games and such. Edited October 9, 2016 by Capedbaldy Quote
Big s Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I thought some of the other votoms fans would have brought it up sooner, but since I didn't see an update tag hobby has some pictures of the arctic gear strike dog. I think it looks great and I will definitely buy it. Quote

Big s Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I really am glad they are bringing back the arctic gear line with new items. I can't wait to get that strike dog and I'm also curious about other releases. With this and hmr from bandai doing macross and dougram along with those new minipla trading kits, it's a great time to be a fan of classic robots.
