DON'T BUY THESE

Then they made upgrades for the Brutish, Strong Bacchus and V2 with Clear Parts. I have all three of these and they are OK. Looky but don't Touchy.

THEN they made the best upgrades to the TCs - GET one of these:

I have the LRS Large Red Box version that I got for 15,000 yen LONG before the price madness started. Also got the Oddon weapons set cheap too. They are cheap no longer.

They are solid - much improved and simply awesome . . .

The brutish is practically a V2. The legs are stronger and it's much more finished feeling.

The SB is a 1.5 but still falls apart virtually all the time.

Thanks, looks like I'll be saving up for one of the TCs and a Brutish.

May still get a Strong (Weak) Bacchus as well though, since they're so cheap/plentiful in comparison.

The difference in a V1 (Purple, First green) a 1.5 (SB, Deep space, Clear parts edition) is that they will stand up on their own.

Where as the V1's will tilt and almost fall over.

The 1.5's still have crappy arms though, and annoying hands.

The V2's have completely different legs and will bend at the knee and stand on their own and hold most poses that I tried.

The hands can still be annoying though... that's one good thing about the Brutish.. the gun is the hand, so you don't have to fool with it.

The TC i had would hold poses with a gun but you still had to fiddle a bit.

Thanks for the additional insight Gakken.

Anyone know how much it costs to ship a boxed Yamato scopedog from Rinkya? (Japan to US) I'm guessing due to the size it'd be in the $40-50 range?

Have never had something shipped from Rinkya and don't know much about Japanese shipping options/costs.

Wish you'd been here 4 or 5 months ago. I sold a bunch of stuff.

Yeah the boxes are big, like 1/48 macross size but thicker.

At least $40 bucks

Saw that new D-Style kit in my notifications from Hobby Search, will be available in Oct.

Waiting for the pre-order to open up at HLJ as I will need 3 copies to build 4 out of the 5 members in the Squad. Already got the Chirico one with 120 parts.

WOW - they went all out on that D-Style line.

The little guys faces are a riot. Well done. No interest though.

I find it strange enough when people come over that I have toys at all.

On 1/12 - on evilBay, HoHo Toys has a few TCs at high prices but I'm going to say they might be the lowest they will ever get.

I'm watching Yamato 1/24 Patlabor pricing madness on Yahoo Japan, and if the 1/12 Votoms follows suit the HoHo prices could be about to double . . .

Oh joy.

Yeah I saw those on ebay and came to the same conclusion as well. Just not sure if I'm ready to drop that kind of cash at the moment (been a bit spendy lately). The fact that I'm getting married in 9 days further complicates things -- to make a last big purchase while I'm still a free man or not haha...

Hopefully I can get a SB to evaluate before the prices become even more ridiculous.

There's a set of three custom Yammy dogs on eBay right now. They look like pretty high quality customs with a commensurate price.

That might be the red shoulder I sold on here about 5 months ago. I shipped it out to Vietnam and the guy planned to weather it. Must be the same guy.

I have no room for them. No room haha

Those are pretty cool customs. Think they might actually sell at that price since those toys are around 400 or 500 each anyway.

Its only 2 dogs though - he's using the clean one only as a reference for all he's done with his:

Anyhoo - I was packing up my LRS TC last night and I kind of freaked out for a minute about the side chest vents. Thought I was missing a longer set that accommodates the side weapon attachments.

Then I realized I had borrowed the longer vents from my Oddon Weapons set. Thought that the LRS came with both short and long vents - but it does not.

Did not know there was a difference but it does follow the line art . . .

It more more dirty than weathered....like it'd been in the mud. hehe. Which is cool.

Yeah it's tempting to start swapping parts, but hard to remember what goes with what.

Moving soon. The Red Shoulder is from the Oddon Weapons Set. I like the color, side vents and antenna on the from that set on The TC...
