Tochiro Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 So far it feels like an Escaowne/Gundam hybrid, which isn't a bad thing. Am not a fan of the main mecha design though. Quote
Dash Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) So far it feels like an Escaowne/Gundam hybrid, which isn't a bad thing. Am not a fan of the main mecha design though. It reminded me of Escaflowne too, I liked the first episode so I'll keep watching. As for the mechas, I agree that the main one doesn't look that great, but apparently it will have an armor and the other mechas look awesome in my opinion, here's a scan with more of the mechas: Edited January 8, 2014 by Dash Quote
slaginpit Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I liked the first episode but I felt like Escaflowne had sex with Frontier and spit out the fool Quote
VF-15 Banshee Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I liked the first episode but I felt like Escaflowne had sex with Frontier and spit out the fool That's kind of the way I felt too. Although I'm not sure this plan to pass Jeanne off as a man will work for any length of time. What are they going to do? Wrap her chest? I don't think that would work very well. And was it just me, or did the end of episode 2 seem to imply that Nobunaga and Ichihime are "that way?" Quote
Marzan Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 And was it just me, or did the end of episode 2 seem to imply that Nobunaga and Ichihime are "that way?" Yeah, I was thinking that too! Maybe Kawamor, always aware of the times we are in, i is looking at the success of "imouto" manga and anime and capitalizing on it? Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I liked the first episode but I felt like Escaflowne had sex with Frontier and spit out the fool Is it bad in my head I picture Mr. T saying that? Quote
Marzan Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Last ep was pretty decent I thought. The Tenjin War Armour was one good looking mecha. Kawamori hasn't lost his touch. Quote
Marzan Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The last ep couldn't hide Kawamori's Macross background. A love triangle brewing, singing and a very large and transcendent mecha. Quote
Twoducks Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 So is this a solid show or just to see Kawamori robot porn in action? Quote
technoblue Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) It is a promising alternate universe, mythological narrative. I'm enjoying it so far. And the mecha do remind me of Escaflowne as well. That's a very good thing! Edited January 29, 2014 by technoblue Quote
VF-15 Banshee Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Are they going for a love quadrangle here? At least the end of episode two made it seem, to me, that Nobunaga and Ichihime were "that way." Also, that betrothal was some kinda psychedelic, huh? Quote
electric indigo Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 This one made it into Bandai's kit pipeline. Quote
slaginpit Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 to me the show is a little meh. Predictable and a little bland. The animation is starting to stale as well. . Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 So have the names of the mecha been revealed? Quote
Dash Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 So have the names of the mecha been revealed? The main mecha is named "The Fool", the red one that looks like a samurai is "Furin Kazan" and the white one that belongs to Caesar is "Quo Badis". There are a couple more that haven't been shown I think. Quote
EXO Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 "Quo Vadis" it's latin for Where are you going? Also a movie. Quote
Marzan Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 "Quo Vadis" it's latin for Where are you going? Also a movie. Which is turn based on the novel of the same name by Henryk Sienkiewicz. A pretty good read too. Quote
RedWolf Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I just had freaking realization.Oda Nobunaga in Nobunaga The Fool (made by Kawamori) is either admired for his character or misunderstood for his eccentricities. The main heroine slowly falls in love and is tsundere about it but is convinced he is the savior...My goodness Nobunaga is a warrior version of Basara from Macross 7! Quote
