Tochiro Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 While there were some hints to this in his new book....well its good that the man gets to make whatever makes him happy, but I'm hoping he gets around to a new Macross sometime soon... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-03-21/macross/escaflowne-kawamori-unveils-the-fool-project Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Sci-fi Sengoku period? Sounds kinda like what Southern Cross was supposed to be before the toy sponsors demanded a change to transforming futuristic mecha. Quote
Tochiro Posted March 21, 2013 Author Posted March 21, 2013 Is that AKB-48 stuff done with? I believe season 2 has yet to wrap up. looking forward to it! Well, since its 'new live entertainment', you had better book some plane tickets then since it sounds like a stage show. Quote
antibiotictab Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I am afraid of the second coming of the big failure of "Basquash!" Quote
Vepariga Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 hmm, interesting. Looks kinda cool. i'll be keeping an eye on any futher developments. Quote
Old_Nash Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I am afraid of the second coming of the big failure of "Basquash!" I liked Basquash! Sci-fi Sengoku period? antibiotictab Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I liked Basquash! Its average BD sales was only 450... No one count the piracy, OK? 2 news. "Anyamaru Tantei Kirumin Zoo" the movie will be screened in Korea. But the words on that billboard are written in Japanese. Hmm. http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/otaku_blog/imgs/c/e/ce51c978.jpg "Satelight Anime Night" will be broadcast on Niconico live from 21:30 today (JST). About 3 hours after. There are somethings new? http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv130641619 Quote
antibiotictab Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I went to Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) and watched the talk show of AKB0048 at the Satelight booth. I heard Kawamori-san would appear the show on the Niconico live yesterday. He introduced the climax scenes about the AKB anime mainly, and said about MF a little; he had used amateurs as a VA before, but in the AKB anime, he should handle with 9 amateurs simultaneously, so it was a hard work. Well, there were nothing new about the next works. He designed a new robot about a Subaru car. Like Nissan DUALIS. The Alexander (new KMF) from Code Geass: Akito the Exiled??? Quote
Tochiro Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Nobunaga the Fool has been extended to include a new tv anime series. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-11-07/shoji-kawamori-nobunaga-the-fool-project-gets-tv-anime Quote
Noyhauser Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Sci-fi Sengoku period? Sounds kinda like what Southern Cross was supposed to be before the toy sponsors demanded a change to transforming futuristic mecha. Sounds more like a prequel to Gintama. Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) New Kawamori mecha? FUDGE YES! I can't wait to discuss this with mecha ta- Oh yeah. In all seriousness, how could I not look forward to something made by one of the anime masters? That reminds me, I really should get around to seeing Planet Kissdum or whatever it is called and that pop idol junk you guys are talking about here. Edited November 8, 2013 by DuelGundam2099 Quote
Marzan Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I'll check it out for sure when it comes out. The premise is...interesting to say the least. Only downside I see is that any hypothetical new Macross project just got pushed out further into the future. Quote
Tochiro Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Some further details.http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-11-08/basquash-s-eiichi-sato-to-direct-nobunaga-the-fool-anime-at-satelight Quote

nel2012 Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 (edited) yay!! I cannot wait anymore for this. The mix of Kazuki Yone´s designs with Kawamori´s unique imagination, PLUS Mamoru Miyano and Yuiichi Nakamura´s voices among the cast, with elements that remind me so much of Escaflowne (look at those mechas!) omg... seriously... I think this is going to be a blast (and not only for women who love bishies ) here is a longer trailer: http://youtu.be/ARFSndmskA8 Edited December 25, 2013 by nel2012 Quote
Tochiro Posted December 31, 2013 Author Posted December 31, 2013 Crunchyroll confirmed. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-12-30/crunchyroll-to-stream-nobunaga-the-fool-anime Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 After finishing VVV I am really skeptical as to whether or not I will be giving this a watch. Quote
EXO Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 He designed a new robot about a Subaru car. Like Nissan DUALIS. IMG_0642.JPG Geez. It's like he never got over that AIBO he designed. Even the frontier valks look like it. Quote
VF-15 Banshee Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 After finishing VVV I am really skeptical as to whether or not I will be giving this a watch. Considering Kawamori and Satelight had nothing to do with VVV, this seems like not a valid fear. Quote
areaseven Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Why hasn't anyone corrected the title of this thread? Quote
Keith Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Considering Kawamori and Satelight had nothing to do with VVV, this seems link not a valid fear. Devilgundam said something random and inconsequential you say? Back on topic, already in my crunchyroll queue. Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Considering Kawamori and Satelight had nothing to do with VVV, this seems like not a valid fear. It isn't staff, it is just the idea of watching anime while it is airing in general. Quote
Beltane70 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I just finished watching the first episode and really liked what I saw. Sci-fi Sengoku period? Sounds kinda like what Southern Cross was supposed to be before the toy sponsors demanded a change to transforming futuristic mecha. It's actually a mix of that plus a few European historical figures such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Ferdinand Magellan, and Joan (Jeanne, since they're using her French name) of Arc (who's the female lead of the series). Quote
antibiotictab Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I will watch the 1st episode later. It was aired last night in Tokyo. TBH, I could go to the preview of this anime last December, but didn't. After the lottery of its ticket on the Net, so many spam mails have been sent to me... Just a coincidence, but there are 2 animes referring to Oda Nobunaga in this season. This one and NOBUNAGUN. Quote
VF-15 Banshee Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Jeanne KAGUYA D'Arc to be specific. Quote
EXO Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I guess you can't spell rack without the letters from arc... Quote
areaseven Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Speaking of spelling, why haven't the mods corrected the title of this thread? Quote
EXO Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Title was misspelled... why didn't anyone say anything? Quote
antibiotictab Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I watched the 1st episode. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. "Jeanne KAGUYA D'Arc"... Jeanne D'Arc was a real person, but Kaguyahime is not. It seems that no in-depth historical knowledge is needed, and it is a weird story, as always... MF might be an exception of Kawamori's works. I think the mecha anime fans would be interested in it. His fans who enjoyed Aquarion EVOL may enjoy watching it. Well, you decide. Quote
Gerli Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I liked it. The setting was interesting... An alternative "¿double?" Earth and all the historic characters... just like Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere but without the politics (?) Quote
