A much as I enjoy occasionally flipping through the ALPHA artbook, Sadamoto and Yamaga alone aren't enough to get excited about. This have changed so much since this first came around.

My interest and excitement in this is still tempered by the results of the last time Gainax decided to make a sequel to a classic of theirs with Diebuster. I know it has its share of fans here, but that show to me was a god aweful mess that took a dump all over the original
