Kurt Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Hi, Here are two 1/60 scale Gundams that I recently finished for a customer. I thought some of you would like to see. These things are huge, but a pleasure to build. Let me know what you think. thanks! Quote
Abombz!! Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Really Really nice! Are those the ones that light up? How do they compare to PG kits? Quote
dyowelb Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Hi, Here are two 1/60 scale Gundams that I recently finished for a customer. great job...just wondering how much do you charge for customs???? Quote
Kurt Posted December 12, 2003 Author Posted December 12, 2003 Thanks everyone! I am not a Gundam expert, but what is a PG kit? And then maybe I can answer your question. These are built straight from the box, so I don't know if you would call them customs or not. And yes these are the ones with all of the lights (LEDs). Lots of soldering to insure a good connection! PM me if you would like me quote a build price on something. Thanks again. Quote
Isamu Atreides 86 Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 sweet work. are the arms, hand and legs articulated?? Quote
UN Spacy Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Excellent work Kurt. Do you make models for a living, side job, or hobby? Wow! Quote

Oh well... they still look great. Quote
Commander McBride Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 No, these are kits. The Hyper Hybrid Model Glorious Series 1/60s. They cost about the same as the Perfect Grade kits, but sacrifice internal skeletal detail in favor of operating gimmicks, articulation, and most importantly, lighting. So, anyway, would you mind taking some pics of these where we can see the lighting in action? I have a feeling it'll look awesome. Quote
Mechamaniac Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Those are beyond sweet. How much would you charge to complete a kit like that? Quote
fulcy Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Dayamn... I'd love to see what you could do with my planned Gouf Flight Type conversion kit for the HY2M!!! Quote

The HY2M Glorious Grade series, in 1/60th scale, has three releases so far - the Rick Dom in normal and Char's colors, and the Gouf. You can get em from HLJ, or Spidey - but they are going to cost a little - the Dom is $166 at hlj, and the Gouf is $111. Quote
Mr March Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Very niiiiiiice! The Gouf Custom looks great. Quote
Jolly Rogers Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Whoa, that's impressive. Where can you get these and what models are available?Vostok 7 You can get them from Best 1 Hobby who ship domestically so it won't cost you a ridiculous amount on shipping like buying from HLJ. These are the 2 HY2M Glorious Series kits available so far. There is a red version of the Dom (Char's Rick Dom) which is a first pressing exclusive, they'll only make the regular colored version in future reissues. Quote
Anubis Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Those both look great. The Gouf is one of my favorite designs. Quote
fulcy Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Very niiiiiiice! The Gouf Custom looks great. Well, to be correct - that's just the regular Gouf. The Gouf Custom is the Gouf from 08th MS Team, and is not the Mobile Suit depicted in the HY2M series... Quote
Angel's Fury Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Excellent job, Kurt! How about some PG Gundams, please? Quote
Commander McBride Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Whoa, that's impressive. Where can you get these and what models are available?Vostok 7 ....And I thought you were into Zeon MS.... Man, how did you forget these things? I distinctly remember not only you, but Abombz!! as well, discussing these in the original thread when they first came out. I remember Abombz!! pointing out that the articualation on the Dom wasn't very good, and someone else (I thought it was you) pointing out that it was good for a Dom. Oh, and, these two are the only ones available so far, unless you count the Char's Rick Dom as a seperate kit. Quote
Myersjessee Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 excellent work Kurt, please share more pictures! Quote
Kurt Posted December 13, 2003 Author Posted December 13, 2003 Here are some more images, as requested. And for those of you that are interested, I built these 1/60's for about $275. Thanks again for all of the compliments. Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 awesome! Nice work. So what did you mean by building it for 275? You paid 275 for someone to build it for you or did you mean that it cost you 275 to build everything? Just trying to clear up some confusions. Quote
Kurt Posted December 13, 2003 Author Posted December 13, 2003 I charged $275 to build the 1/60's. Quote
Abombz!! Posted December 14, 2003 Posted December 14, 2003 (edited) more... Looky! Its ass lights up! But question... why does the GP03 gets the worn out look if it was only used in space? It looks like it just went through a sand storm or something. Edited December 14, 2003 by Abombz!! Quote

If they made a Zaku, I'd be all over that like... something else... Vostok 7 Quote
Angel's Fury Posted December 14, 2003 Posted December 14, 2003 I charged $275 to build the 1/60's. Beautiful work Kurt! So this is your business? How did you figure out the costing? It's just that I'm interested in turning my hobby into a business. Quote
