Finally got to watch this film tonight. I forgot exactly which critic said it, but Kick-Ass 2 is a victim of its own formula. Sure, there are a lot of funny lines, but somewhere halfway, the concept loses its meaning and ends up becoming a generic revenge movie that tries to throw in every superhero trope. It's not a bad movie at all; just a disappointment coming from the first. May take me a while to accept it as a guilty pleasure.
