Guys... the Canopy of my 1st edition 1/48 VF-1S Roy just broke off.

1) What are the chance I can get a replacement / recast for it?

2) The part that connects to the plane is still there. Anyone knows how to access it? I might try to glue it back.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ouch! My condolences, man...

I'm not sure if any sort of aftermarket replacement exists for this, your best bet is probably to try to glue it back together somehow, but I do advice caution- many glues cause oxidation/clouding on clear plastic, so you should definitely do some homework on what kind of glue to use if you go that route.

Best of luck!

Here's a couple of pictures of the broken canopy. I think there might be enough room so glue back and put a little brace on it, however I need to get it out first!!!

Anyone knows how to remove this thing?

same thing happened to my older 1/48. I just used super glue on it, the back hinge part was still sticking out thought, so i just braced it and glued the canopy on.

That happened to mine. I tried gluing it back on but it didn't work.

that happened to one of my 1/60s. I pried off the white piece that holds down the other end of that clear plastic. It enabled me to get that other piece and carefully glue them together. After that assemble it but use just a little super glue for the white piece that holds it down in case you need to redo it. I don't force the canopy all the way up like the other ones that haven't broke, but it does open up pretty well already.
