areaseven Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Another classic fairy tale hits the big screen this year. Directed by Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men), Jack the Giant Slayer is the latest retelling of the fables Jack the Giant Killer and Jack and the Beanstalk, starring Nicholas Hoult (Hank McCoy/Beast in X-Men: First Class, Marcus in About a Boy), Eleanor Tomlinson (Fiona in Alice in Wonderland), Stanley Tucci (Dr. Erskine in Captain America: The First Avenger, Caesar in The Hunger Games), Ian McShane (Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda, Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), John Kassir (Crypt Keeper in Tales from the Crypt, Adam in Dead Rising), and Ewan McGregor (not like anyone here doesn't know him...). The film premiers in Asia on February 27-28 and in the U.S. on March 1 in 3D and IMAX. Official Site And what's a big-budget blockbuster without a competing mockbuster from The Asylum? kanedaestes Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Bryan singer is pretty dependable. Not all of his stuff is great but it is entertaining, i will give it a chance. Quote
