Lorindor Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Hi! I'm a newbie when it comes to modeling. I've only done some Gunpla and small pre-painted kits previously. I've now come across a Bandai 1/72 Super VF-1A kit and I can get it very cheap. For all of you with more experience, how is this kit? Is it suitable for beginners? And how does it hold up to the competition? Quote
Jefuemon Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I picked up a Super J a while back for only $5. Yes, it's worth it at that price. Compared to the Hasegawa kits, they're very dated. But, they're a nice beginner kit to cut your teeth on, as compared to the Hases. Bandai Hasegawa You will need glue and paint to put them together. I've actually still got a Bandai Super S waiting to be built. Gonna try my hand a doing some small modifications to it when I finally get around to building it. Quote
Hoptimus Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Not a bad kit as long as you are ready to give it some TLC. Quote
Grayson72 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I'd say that would be a great beginner kit. I was my first kit when I was getting back into Macross modeling in 1999. Quote
