Benson13 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I'm totally stoked you guys made a mobile version of the website. I do about 80% of my MWing from my phone and so far it's been really user friendly. Thanks a lot for putting this together Shawn/Graham/Mods. Quote
azrael Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Actually, that's the mobile skin which is embedded in the forum software. They're getting better with its features with each update. Quote
Benson13 Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 Is it possible to follow a thread from this skin? Quote
Graham Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I view MW 95% of the time from my phone these last few years. My home PC barely gets touched anymore. That said, I view the full version of MW on my phone's web browser, no need to view the mobile version. Graham Quote
Lightning Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 the only bothersome part is it'll keep popping up the "page loading" thingy (little black oval/rectangle) when you've just scrolled through a topics list. Quote
Benson13 Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 I'm getting that as well. I've had 3 on my screen at once. Quote
Dio Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 There's still a few issues for me on the Vita, particularly viewing posted photos, but most everything else works like a charm. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 We still need an app-style icon for it. My phone still only has a screen-cap of the forum home page. (surely I'm not the only one who has a direct link to MW right next to the weather app) Quote
Renato Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I'm not sure what people mean. Most mobile versions of sites work fine on my PSP, but not this site. Do I have to change some settings or something? Quote

BeyondTheGrave Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 How would one switch between the full site and mobile version? Quote
EXO Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 This is on the iphone: To go to mobile version: Scroll to bottom of forum home screen Go to change theme and choose IP.Board.Mobile To go to full version: Go to the bottom and hit "Full Version". sometimes you have to scroll right to find it in the center. Vepariga Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I like the mobile interface of the forums too, quick and easy and good to check up on while at work. I too get the black loading bar now and then but it doesnt cause an inconveniance. Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) Not seeing that option. Using droid RAZR with Google chrome only seeing rss feed , mark community as read, and help in the lower left. Ip.Board's website link on the right Edited March 22, 2013 by BeyondTheGrave Quote
Keith Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I'm not currently seeing that option in chrome or firefox. Has it been removed /hidden somewhere? Quote
EXO Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 this is on a mobile device? I have IOS Safari on my phone and I can still see it. I'm on Chrome on my home PC and it's still there. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I see it in iOS 7.1.1 in Safari and Chrome. Quote
azrael Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I see it in Safari and iOS 7.1.2 and Firefox 30.0. Quote
JB0 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I had the view full version button on Android Chrome. I clicked it and now I'm locked into the full version because the theme selector doesn't show. Quote

anime52k8 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Clear cookies and log back in, it'll revert back to mobile view. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Just checked on ios 7.1.2 safari and chrome. Once you go full version the "change theme" option on the bottom left is not there. It does appear in desktop versions of these browsers. Quote
CrazyDude Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 No problems here and I use a nexus 7/2012 with software up to date. Said that I don't have the jailbroken or root enabled. Quote
Keith Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Well, the point is that you shouldn't have to clear your cookies, the drop down should aways be there. Quote
no3Ljm Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I'm on iPhone 4S using Safari. I accidentally clicked the Full Version and there's no way of going back to mobile version. I read this thread only to find out that the only option is to reset or clear cookies. Once I did that, all my opened Safari tabs are closed. Now I can't remember what site am I browsing that time. Is there a way to set up from Full version to Mobile version without going to clear cookies resort? Also when the thread is long on the Mobile version, is there a way to put a 'Back to Top' link instead of swiping the page going back to top? Thanks and so far I'm loving the mobile version. Quote

Going back to top... you just need to touch the top of the frame and it takes you back up. This works on almost every app that has a scroll. I wish they had something that took you to the bottom. Thanks EXO. Actually, I already cleared the cookies so it just went back to the mobile version. Though I lost all my opened tabs. But that's ok. What's done 'clicking' is done 'clicking'. I haven't tried the touch the top frame. Will do that next time I browse on my phone. Thanks! Quote
