spanner Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I see Lego isn't wasting any time with the new Star Wars movie! none of which look anything towards particularly appealing.. Quote
Dynaman Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Saw an ad for Star Wars last weekend at the Imax theater. Same ad I had seen online before BUT seeing it on that huge screen and hearing the opening fanfare through theater speakers - I was a kid again back in 77... Quote

Dobber Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Well, that confirmed that the "new" Lego x-wing has the wings wrong. Chris Quote
therealfolkblues Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Having been wrapped up in spoliers for this movies for months now, I don't see anything to spoiler-y in that poster? At least nothing that any of the toys won't reveal? Quote
Dobber Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I don't either, but I can understand what is being held by one of the characters in the poster can be considered spoilery. Honestly though, I don't think that particular thing is supposed to be a surprise. Worst movie spoilers I can remember from products would be, Indy 4 and Shia's characters description on the back of it's package reveals who he is, and way back when Ep I was coming out the freaking soundtrack had a title called Qui-Gon's noble end. I was pissed at that one! Chris Quote
sh9000 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I'm so glad I live in California. Can't wait to check out Star Wars Land at Disneyland with my wife when it is finally built. Quote
TangledThorns Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I'm so glad I live in California. Can't wait to check out Star Wars Land at Disneyland with my wife when it is finally built. Same here but it'll be Orlando for my family when my daughter is old enough. By then the theme park should be ready Quote
Chronocidal Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Dunno if this is really spoilery at all, but I'll hide it just in case. So... three suns. I can't wait to see how many lens flares that causes... JJ may have found the perfect franchise. Quote
azrael Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Dunno if this is really spoilery at all, but I'll hide it just in case. ... You should be thankful then. He's not directing Episode 8 or 9. Quote
RedLion Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Hasbro X-Wing Super deformed! Similar to 1979 X-Wings. I wish they were larger like the electronic Luke version. Perhaps they will milk it and release a scale version later. I'm missing the red LED in the nose cone. Quote
myk Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 HOT! Well they have to release something like the FX X wing, IMO... Quote
Kelsain Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Well, I suppose it fits with the 5 pt articulation... Is it so hard to make stuff look like it should? I know the movie's kind of old school, but the toys too? I think I'm gonna limit myself to 6" black series... Quote
Hikuro Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 So next month Carrie Fisher is gonna be in town doing a lil local comic con. Anything you guys want me to ask her if I got the chance? Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I'm a upset regarding the 5 point articulation action figures, may be I won't purchase them but I'm more interested in the vehicles (Falcon, X-Wing, Tie). http://www.starwars7news.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/LEGO-TFA-Cast.jpg Quote
Graham Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I'm restricting myself to the 6" black series figures as well. I really don't know what Hasbro is thinking with the 5 point articulation.......urghhhh. I hope someone makes a decent toy of the new X-wing though. And I want the white version with blue stripes far more than Poe Dameron's version. Graham Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Even Hasbro's Age of Ultron 4 inch action figure are now 5 point articulation, may be I think they are trying to save cost production. Anyhow I also want the blue/ white X-Wing, besides the black one, don't mind the 1970s retro scale for the vehicles and now where is the my beloved ship the Millennium Falcon. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Ladies and Gentlemen Episode VII merchandise Catalog. Quote
myk Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Trust me guys, they'll come out with an FX style X wing, it wouldn't make sense not to. I just hope they don't take as long as they did with the first one... Quote
RedLion Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 The five point articulation stinks big time but be reminded that Disney royalties are spanking articulation, paint ops, and features off of the toys. I think they are planning a black series T-Fighter and pilot which is going to be huge. Couldn't imagine a X-wing at that scale. Where would I display this? Hasbro is more concerned with making a profit on these toys than coming out with outstanding product. Their profit margins are ridiculous which makes it tough to design great toys, especially for a license like this one. Quote
RedLion Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 The Falcon??? Well?? Um?? Not sure how to break this to you guys but here you go!! Please be kind. The kid looks happy, but I'm not!! On the other hand the Tie fighter Black series looks cool! Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) The Falcon, I was hoping for the original 70s mold with some updates or modifications . The new one doesn't seems to have landing gears and even smaller than the 70s Falcon. Oh well I'll purchase it cuz I don't have one. Edited August 21, 2015 by Black Valkyrie Quote
therealfolkblues Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I'll buy all of these for my kids(9&7) and I can guarantee they won't bitch about the scale or lack of articulation lol. I mean who is the target audience for a Millenium Falcon with a freaking Nerf cannon in the middle of it? These toys are for kids as far as I can tell. Adult collectors have plenty of options IMO, but to each his own I guess? Quote
Sildani Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 There's always the Hot Toys 1/6 scale Falcon for those who want larger representations with more detail. Yeah, these are for kids. Just like the first ones were in the 70s and 80s. Quote
