Tking22 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I'm excited, my showing is tonight at 9, in 3D! Hopefully the 3D is good and I didn't waste my money. Quote
Hoptimus Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 I am gonna try to catch it Saturday or Sunday. Quote
Tking22 Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 I liked it, I saw it in VFX 3D, it was pretty amazing, a very pretty film to watch just like the first. My only complaint is that the separate stories didn't intertwine quite as well as the first film, but that said I enjoyed each of the different stories, Joseph Gordon Levitt is awesome, and I can safely say Eva Green was smoking hot, and there was plenty of her in the film. DuelGundam2099 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Fantastic movie is fantastic, it was better than the first. Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Fantastic movie is fantastic, it was better than the first. Even with all the "useless sex junk" or maybe you just get you jollys from over the top mindless violence? Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 The former, the sex junk was minimal and it did fit the themes of the story. Also I do not get "jollies" from violence, RL, nor was the violence mindless (it was scripted and shot after all). Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 I do not understand why you posted that.... Quote
xrentonx Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) I probably should've quoted the one I'm actually responding to. You can ignore it. Nothing to understand in this case Edited August 29, 2014 by xrentonx Quote
Duke Togo Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Finally got around to watching this. In a word: mediocre. I wouldn't waste my time watching it again. A pale shadow of the original. Quote

xrentonx Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 It wasn't bad...it was just OK. That makes it disappointing Quote
Keith Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 It was cool, would probably work better as a 4 hour Sin City full cut. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Honestly I thought this was horrible, so much so that it actually slightly sullied my memories of the first Sin City. Was tempted to leave the theater. Hell, Eva Green wasn't enough to save this movie for me. -b. Quote

I'm surprised she chose to be a part of this mess; she must've owed the devil in exchange for her smoking hot looks. That's what I heard. Makes me sad. I had a feeling a sequel to the original would be a bad idea, sort of like the also awful sequel to Smoking Aces; a shameless attempt to cash in on the success of the original... Quote

Well, the source material was already there, it's not like they desperately had to make up a story. I also quite liked the Dame to kill for comic, but I think the first movie was already a stretch of what works in a comic-to-movie translation, and that quickly wore off with the second film. Quote
