Had an epiphany regarding some sort of WWII-style nose art for this...Monster. Poisonous spiders! It would be a perfect homage to Mr Mike.

Something like: "Ms. Arachnia" or "The Black Widow" etc. Some Petty or Vargas pin-up girl in a black dress or lingerie with accoutrements like little red hourglass bows on her black stockings, or a big red bow on the back of her black dress.

Any thoughts?

"Frank's Pet" or "Frankenstein" just doesn't seem as cool...big, green, HWR Monster...

First kit shipped, even with the rotocasting and attempts to save weight, this thing is still 16lbs packed up!!!

More leaving soon.

thanks

BTW love the idea of spider nose art, i will run it by my buddy Jason who is doing the art!

Are all the kits for this run taken? I would like to purchase one if possible if there are any remaining.

Mike,

I could draw something up for you if you'd like. It would be an honor to do something in return for all of your hard work. Lemme know.

(Edit:) Would you want something in anime style, or "real-type?" I can do either. 8"x10" color, then scaled to decal level?

Just got this package today. First impression is ... It's freaking big!!! check for all the parts. Very good casting with lots of details. You can see rivets up close. Needing minor clean up on a few small flashes. Amazingly light on major parts done by hollow casting ........ Well done. I'll let the pictures do the talking..... (with small gashapon monster and takatoku 1/240 monster for size reference)

Picked mine up yesterday. As soon as I got home, the box was opened and parts were laid out on the coffee table. BIG! It took a little bit to figure out were everything goes (guess I didn't know the design as well as I thought). It even includes "eye" pieces. The wife walked in to see me on the floor with models, toys, and the Perfect Memory book spread about, trying to put everything in the "exploded view." She then asked; "WHERE are you going to put that?!" I replied; "Not in the closet." She rolled her eyes.

Two questions though:

Where do the three, flat, angled, "forked" pieces go? Are they the hinges on the rear hatches for the howitzers?

Were the range finders/sensors on the front of the arms and on the sides of the main hull part of the kit, or do those need to be scratch-built? (Items #54 in the 1/200 Bandai kit)

Impressed as usual. Thanks for all of your effort.

Can't wait to see some properly scaled 1/72 dioramas with regular 1/72 Valks.
So rare to see pics of Glaugs and Monsters properly scaled with Valks. People never realize how friggin big they are.

And if you are attempting to "sneak in" a 1/72 Monster without your wife noticing... um... that might not be the best plan.

Lol

My wife will be mad!

i forgot to say :third payment already sent, but I need to know the shipping fees.

I want this one so bad! :-)

Instructions will start sometime after the 1rst of the year, waiting on the decal file.

Sorry for the lag in response, kids have been sick for 2 weeks (one after the other), and now are home for almost 2 weeks for the holiday, amazing how fast a month can get diced up.

decal art and sizing are done, waiting for a test sheet to give the OK to do the full print run.

Instructions are delayed just a little bit for a variety of reasons, bad weather is really impacting me at the moment, mostly around lost productivity on all fronts, lots of time home with the kids with no working.

Sorry, haven't put up pics of my package yet. Got it, but haven't really looked at all the pieces due to moving. Will do it probably tomorrow.

Still available, PM me, but i am taking about a 2 week break from casting while i wait for better weather. Nothing like a record breaking cold winter to take the wind out of your casting sails if you know what i mean.

Decals are at the printers, don't have a solid ETA yet but they are there!

Also i will be sending everyone, along with the decals, castings of the vents that go on the side of the body. Went to get ready to paint the body and realized that something was missing.

I could not cast those into the body because of the rotocasting, likely would have bubbles in those. So left them off then just forgot about them!
