wm cheng Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Imagine if this was a Valkyrie?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iAvG0buqa2Q#! Quote
Benson13 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Very impressive. My kid watched that with me and wants me to build one. Quote
connor99 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Very nice indeed. Wonder how much it cost to build that proto? Quote
Mr March Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 That is quite the achievement. Most impressive. Quote
raptormesh Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 1.98 Million yen, so about $23k? Yaiks. Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Buy one of those MIT robot competition kits and build one yourself for about $200.00. Funny enough this thing remind me of an 80s old robot toy I had. It transformed on its own and was tethered to a wired controller. It had the same features as the video robot except its feet rolled, and had no camera. Quote
Twoducks Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Yes, a Yamato one… then the toy would brake itself and I wouldn't feel guilty for "misstransforming it"... JUST KIDDING! Seriously, this is amazing, and 5 years from now these things will look even more incredible and maybe affordable. Quote
Froy Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 1.98 Million yen, so about $23k? Yaiks. And it is not a Yamato toy. As Yamato prices keep skyrocketing I don't imagine the final cost. Quote
xrentonx Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Oh man! Kill it with fire! Those creepy little baby steps... Interesting nevertheless Quote
Phyrox Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Engineering-wise it's very cool. As a car it looks terrible and not much better as a robot. Quote
