Valkyrie23 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Wow the demand for the VF-171 is outpacing the YF-29 Anniversary reissue. This reminds me of the early panic of the VF-171 EX Alto version. Hopefully there will be more supply of the VF-171 CF as I want more than 1 Quote
Murphy Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Aww man, sweet! Thanks a HEAP for the heads up! :)/> I think I managed to snag one...weird that they don't let you pay for shipping yet? Yea when it's ready to ship they send you the shipping price, it's normal for them Quote

Tober Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I got fluked one from AE, but I want two as well... So there wasn't a even warning from the Bandai website this time? Quote
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Amiami was up for a few mins. Gone now. The funny thing is.... the 171 lasted longer than the 29. Luckily I was able to get one for the 171, but not the 29. Edited January 8, 2013 by PsYcHoDyNaMiX Quote
ErikElvis Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) http://www.nippon-ya...ex-regular.html Just snagged 2 a NY now seems its over. Edited January 8, 2013 by ErikElvis Quote
Old Man Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 NY wouldn't let me pre-order :(/> Yeah...what's the deal? Quote
neoexcaliber Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I think that means they're closed for preorder. Quote
ErikElvis Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Yeah it let me get 2 and I came right back here and posted it. Quote
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) I think that means they're closed for preorder. Yup... Edited January 8, 2013 by PsYcHoDyNaMiX Quote
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 In 3 minutes!? Probably... looks like they didn't have an order limit. I didn't get one in when I checked. Quote
Kelsain Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) I might be willing to pay slightly inflated prices for this, but I think this'll be the last time I try for a Bandai Valkyrie. This just keeps getting worse, with NY even selling out in the 5 minute window. This is the equivalent of crazy us parents on Black Friday, and defeats why shopping online is better in the first place. I really want this one, but after, I'm done with this. Falcon Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Lol these are harder to get than tickets to some of the most popular band concerts if you think about it. Edited January 8, 2013 by Falcon Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 On the plus side, NY has the 30th Anniv YF-29 in Focker Colors available for pre-order. Quote
Falcon Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Wonder will this one be readily available in Japan like the Alto VF-171EX was... Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Wonder will this one be readily available in Japan like the Alto VF-171EX was... I hope so. I had the Alto VF-171 and just hated the color scheme so I gave it up to wait for this one Quote
Dobber Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Well crap! Missed out again. Too many people know about NY now I guess. Pre-orders for the 29 reissue were closed as of 6:50am est but the do have the instock 29 for $60 more! WTF! Hard to buy it when you see the lower price for the preorder right next to it! Agree with other sentiments...F U bandai! Lol! Chris Quote
Mommar Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Looks like I won't be lucky enough to get one of these. Regardless of the logic for the market and how I'm not a part of it, FU Bandai. Quote
Sam Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 not impressed. here yamato, you take my money. obviously you do want to sell us your toys. bandai:fail. I want to swear at you and curse your lack of awareness of our desire to have access to your toys, but obviously there is no point. *sigh* Quote
logos Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Damn I knew I would miss out on this. Why the hell dosen't Bandai make more of these available to the export websites? It's obvious that demand is far outstriping the supply there. Fine F**K you Bandai. I want to give you my money but it seems you don't want it. I just know there is going to be the same problem with the YF-30 as well. Looks like I am sticking with Yamato.....I just wish their recent offerings weren't so expensive.......VF-4....so.....awesome......but.....the......price.....oh.....the...price.......... Edited January 8, 2013 by logos Quote
Duymon Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Screw it. I just picked up the 260 one at NY threw in an alto 171 while I was at it Quote
Falcon Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Screw it. I just picked up the 260 one at NY threw in an alto 171 while I was at it 260 NY VF-171CF?? Or do you mean a YF-29 at $260?? Quote
Duymon Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 oh, the yf-29 I missed the stupid CF preorder at NY because I was on the train going to work lol Quote
Renato Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Wonder will this one be readily available in Japan like the Alto VF-171EX was... I know you're referring to that image that showed a stack of EX's in a shop, but I certainly wouldn't call that typical. These things are quite hard to come by, at least in my experience. Someone like Save might argue otherwise, but then he's a professional. It's not as if your average joe is just tripping over them because they're so abundant or anything. Quote
moose Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) It sells out because they put it on their Japanese site first before we see it on the English side, Hobby Search all showing sold out. Nothing from HLJ yet Edited January 8, 2013 by moose Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Seriously, yet again huh? I'm pretty sure I can get one of these at a local place but it'll probably be like $270 plus tax. ugh!! Maybe NY will get some stock in a or after launch. Doubt HLJ will be able to get it. Wonder will this one be readily available in Japan like the Alto VF-171EX was... i have a feeling it won't be too hard to find in japan or anywhere in asia where bandai sells stuff....pretty much like every bandai macross F release recently. Quote
Phalanix Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Nippon Yasan will most likely open up the order again at a later date at slightly higher prices. HS, AA, HLJ also usually re-opens the order when they confirm their stock availability but that usually is a really small window of opportunity. :(/> So now it's up to HLJ but I'm not gonna stay up all night or sleep by a computer for the auto alerts anymore, don't know when HLJ will put up the sale for it, with the VF-25G it took them 2 weeks to put up on their site after all the other usual online retailers. We curse Bandai all the time, but when it comes down to it, we still buy these "valks" when given the opportunity. We can boycott Bandai but they wouldn't care and I doubt it would impact them as a business (their precious Gundams). :P/> Edited January 8, 2013 by Phalanix Quote
Duymon Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Do What I do. Have a g/f in Japan that you can mail crap to Unfortunately she's moving over here in May so I will lose my local macross source >_< Quote
