LOW_ALT Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I always like these cannon fodder themes. It adds a bit of realism compared to all the "look at me!" paint schemes. Quote
3D-Brainx Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I wonder if we'll get to see a 171 Lucca custom after this. Quote
mechaninac Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 That would depend on the sales of the 171 line, and if Bandai wishes to milk the mold. Judging by the their anouncement of the CF version, one can assume that the Alto's EX sold well enough to warrant this new release, and the 30th anniversary YF-29 tends to point to their willingness to make multiple variants of Frontier's VFs. Just think, now that they have tooling for the EX and regular VF-171s they can offer us not only Luca's EX, but also the CF Elint. Quote

Omegablue Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 This depresses me. As over the next few months due to work, I won't have constant net access, meaning I'll miss the 5 second window to pre-order it. Quote

Ignacio Ocamica Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I have internet 24x7x365 and that hasn't helped me score any pre-orders +1 You gotta be lucky enough to be around the crucial 5 seconds window. Quote
Omegablue Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) Yeah, but you blink and it's all sold out... And this one I've been waiting for the most, so sad. Any word on the expected release date? Edited November 3, 2012 by Omegablue Quote
IXTL Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Yeah, but you blink and it's all sold out... And this one I've been waiting for the most, so sad. Any word on the expected release date? Bandai Collector's division recently announced and solicited orders for releases up to Mar 2013. The star item being the Chogokin Disney combiner. No DX Chogokin Mac F figures were listed. Unless they are added in at the last minute, it looks like after Mar 2013. Quote
raptormesh Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Yes! Knew they would come through, but I'm apprehensive of the pre-ordering struggle again. Grr. Quote
Hikuro Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 if it's in March for a preorder then I'll be glad to do it. I got figures on my list but that's after everything I got is done. Namely the VF-4 and my TV. Quote
IXTL Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 A couple of photos from Tamashii Nations 2012 not seen earlier. Typo in the display card - The "EX" should not be there. So much awesome. And here's a shot of the Tamashii Nations 2012 MF DX Chogokin display. Quote
Kelsain Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Drool. Definite trade-in for the EX. Thanks for all of your photos, IXTL! Quote
jvmacross Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 And here's a shot of the Tamashii Nations 2012 MF DX Chogokin display. All of this will be exclusive? Quote
Lolicon Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 All of this will be exclusive? Oh man I wish it was all web exclusives. Then all of us could, you know, actually buy these products. Quote
Mommar Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Oh man I wish it was all web exclusives. Then all of us could, you know, actually buy these products. I agree. Somehow, even though everybody seems to hate him, I get the impression finding Luca is going to be hardest of all. Quote
mph2501 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Was anyone else thinking Bandai's "big announcement" should have been a buyback/trade-in program for their 1st-generation Macross Frontier valkyries for the 2nd-release versions? Quote

Duymon Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 The worst part is you know you'll want three of them, especially after re-watching the 3 VF-171's kick ass in episode 14 Quote
Loop Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 At present not see the fighter pic. At present, thinking of ordering multiples.. LOL Quote

neoexcaliber Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Is this gonna be a Tamashii exclusive or a Bandai release? Any word on the preorder date? Quote
Kelsain Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Yes, the blue on the 171ex armor won't look as good on this. Confident now in my decision to skip them. Definitely going for this one! (null) Quote
IXTL Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 (edited) The figure in the new stock images is also sporting the "No Step" markings. That bodes well. Edited December 27, 2012 by IXTL Quote
mechaninac Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 (edited) @%#$&@#%!!! Alright Bandai... Edited December 27, 2012 by mechaninac Quote
miriya Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 What reputable vendors can I preorder from that do not require up front payment? I don't want to miss this beauty but will need to save. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 And who's reputable enough that I shouldn't worry about paying up-front? Quote
