DX Chogokin Super VF-27

Just took mine out of the box and checked it in Gerwalk mode, the “toes” seem to be ok. Phew.

I ignore if are made of the same kind of plastic but the V1 feels stronger (maybe it's because of the trauma to see disintegrated) but I get that feeling

beyond that it doesn't bother me have grey toes

Sorry to hear about the broken toes on the v2, @valhary, but it looks just fine after the replacement surgery. Great job by the way. 

Did you have to get an old or broken v1 for the spare parts??

Can anyone remind me where in the show do we see Grace's VF-27 beta with the fold drive attached? 

I have seen this a couple of times now in Jenius' review pics and another source, but does the fold drive from the VF-25G Galia 4 accessory set fit on the VF-27 beta?  Does this also work on the VF-27 Gamma (Brera's)?  I have a G4 fold set on the way and was just wondering.

Hmm. Good question, I was gonna dig my VF-27 out later to check it. I already have a custom painted cannon fodder   VF-25G out on display with fold booster. Will check compatibility. Unless someone gets to it sooner.

Oh I thought you were asking about the renewals. Yeah the renewal 27 is the only one I attached it to. Uses the same adapter piece for the fold drive as the old 27.

Once upon a time, I had the VF-27 super and the first time I transformed it, the nose fell off like that, so it seems that this might be an issue with this release

I just received a first release, sealed in box, VF-27B with pink fold booster, and I have to say, I cannot believe that this toy came out just a little while after the first release VF-25F toys from Bandai....gosh, this thing is so crisp and just an amazing sculpt and toy.  I am glad that I was able to get it, and for a price of 18330 shipped DHL through Mandarake, I am not sorry that I got it.

I get a renewal yesterday. Looks cool, but man is it junk compared to the current level of DX's.

Well, we might get something similar in the new SV-303 variable ghost drone, but a VF-27 with VF-31 level design…….gosh

As much as the SV-303 does catch my interest @twich, I have to see if the DX version will stand up to the test when approved by Bandai to make a run, then it will get my $$. 

Still like renewal 27g, however its in storage with my other Macross valks (Its placed inside its own box and encased in a storage tub).

My renewal 27, with Brera’s Super parts, has been on display going on five years now. I transform it once in a great while, no issues yet.

Did they?  Would love for there to be a chance to finally get a "correct" Grace's.  (grey striping of the later version, but dull olive green of the original).   The later one is way too intense emerald green.  

(but a revival would probably just be an exact copy of the last one again)

In hind sight, although the giant gun was part of the intimidation factor, I wish that the VF-27 had a VF-25 or YF-29 sized gun for practicality in toy form, anyway……

From memory, I don't think any VF-27 Revivals were teased. The only other Frontier valks teased were the VF-25S & RVF-25, and even so they were the old renewals put beside the 25G Revival at Tamashii Nations 2022. Will Bandai go ahead with those? Not hoping much, going by Bandai's pattern these past few years. As soon as a mold doesn't seem to sell well (the 25G Revival), Bandai stops releasing more.
