Kelsain Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Just saw those on the FB page. Sexeh... Quote
electric indigo Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Drool... The canopy profile seems to be indeed higher than on the Bandai kit. Quote
wm cheng Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Woohoo!!! Pic too small, but it looks like we might finally get some decent landing gears on this plane. All the Bandai stuff, (both kit and DX) just looks stupid!!! Quote
Major Tom Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 More pics!!! Why just 1?? Just scroll down toward the bottom of this page. It's after Green Lantern post http://timelessdimension0.blogspot.com/2013/10/toy-news-2013-11-th-october-2013.html Cool options for decals to make Ozma or Alto version Quote
wm cheng Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Now THATS how you do a model kit... beautifully sleek. Quote
505thAirborne Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I have Zero complaints on this VF-25, I'll be spending some $$$ on these. Go Hasegawa!! Quote
Chronocidal Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Now that is what the yellow on Ozma's is supposed to look like.. Not that lame mustard crap Bandai shoved out of whatever bodily orifice printed their decals. Sad when the first party company can't even get basic details right on their own material too.. Hasegawa fixed the ankle stripes. I might have to get a couple of these.. just so I can build the Bandai's in battroid and leave them that way. Quote
electric indigo Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 The landing gear is still pretty stubby, but I'll go for an in flight display anyway. Quote
SebastianP Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 My biggest beef with the landing gear is that the main wheels look tiny. But I think Hasegawa's mainwheels are either larger than Bandai's, or their nosewheels are smaller - and while the main struts are't much thinner, all the other details are. I foresee Hasegawa receiving a tidy sum from me via HLJ this winter, at any rate. I need two of these, a Super VF-11B, and if they're still available then, a Thunderseeker... Quote
Major Focker Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 i wonder if Hase will do super/armor/tornado. OT, anyone know of a 1/144 VF-25 in styrene or resin? Quote
Chronocidal Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Dunno about 1/144, but Bandai did release the fighter-only 1/100 kits. I picked up a bunch of those for custom paint schemes, they're pretty cheap and easy to build. Quote
Jefuemon Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Cool options for decals to make Ozma or Alto version That's why I've already got 2 on pre-order. Quote
anime52k8 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I just can't get past the canopy, it looks weird. Quote
joscasle Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 To me the canopy looks fine!! The landing gear looks a little thick but much better than Bandai Quote
505thAirborne Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 At least to me the canopies look great and compared to any previous release the landing gear looks fantastic. Quote
Chronocidal Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 See, that's the size canopy you get when you put an actual 1/72 pilot in the plane, instead of whatever midget scale Bandai uses. The gear still looks a bit too long to me, but it looks like actual landing gear now in any case. Quote
KH355hamdi Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I hope they going to make the gerwalk and battroid one soon. Btw can't wait to get this one as well. Quote
Major Focker Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 hase has never done gerwalks. i'd be smiling ear to ear if they did. Quote
Duymon Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Blegh, I'll be happy building these, then I'll pillage the hases for landing gear and underwing stores... and decals... lol Quote
Kyp Durron Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Blegh, I'll be happy building these, then I'll pillage the hases for landing gear and underwing stores... and decals... lol WP_001439.jpg Oooh, now there's an idea! I could use the better decals and such for my 1/72 Ozma! -Kyp Quote
Scyla Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Can someone who is planning on building these kits make comparison shots with the Bandai DX (both versions)? Quote
wm cheng Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 That's going to be on the top of my lists... (but you guys already knew how slanted towards Hasegawa I am ;-) Quote
HWR MKII Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 if anyone wants an honest comparison i can give you one. Im throwing out my Bandai VF-25S kit. Seriously its a mess of a model. I know the Hasegawa will fit tightly and wont sag or flop when finished. Simple tehre ya go. Quote

PetarB Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Finally, a decent looking cockpit. The Bandai one was simply much closer to 1/100 than 1/72! I can't wait to get my hands on one of these... Quote
Jefuemon Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Can someone who is planning on building these kits make comparison shots with the Bandai DX (both versions)? I won't do a comparison with the DX, but I'll do a quick out of box comparison with the Bandai kit. Quote
Scyla Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I won't do a comparison with the DX, but I'll do a quick out of box comparison with the Bandai kit. Much appreciated. The Renewals are a close match to the 1/72 kits so I can draw my conclusions from that. Quote
Jefuemon Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 The pilots are too big... of COURSE there's also a death metal band called that. They sound just like you think they would Quote
KH355hamdi Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Ofcourse they are tight fit. They are non transformable. Quote
