Knight26 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 very 1:55 bandai in looks and proportions Quote
dialNforNinja Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 The nose seems a bit squared off, the hip connectors/nose sensors look a little oversized (could just be a lack of reference material under my eye to compare, though) and those mini fins (aerodynamicized antennae?) on either side of the lower cockpit area might get caught by the legs when it transforms, but it's a nice sculpt and color scheme. Does the model transform, or is it mode F only? Quote
paramat Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I like it, especially the head design. VF-1S heads are too humanoid for my tastes. Quote
valky-001 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 yes it looks like a 3D 1/55 scale Takatoku old school, nice job. Quote
Mr March Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Not so crazy about the model, but I like the colors. Sexah! Quote
infosys_ms Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Thanx, It is based on the 1:55 bandai toy (my fav toy). In fact the toy was scanned and measured for this model. I made some engineering corrections for the head and the hip transformations. It even transforms like the toy. I'll have that posted soon. Check out an early video and other pics on my blog! Quote
dialNforNinja Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 The VF-1 really was a chunky monkey compared to most RL fighter jets, wunnit? But then so was the F-14 that inspired it I suppose, and part of the reason is that it's quite short in comparison - it has that beefy look to it like a sawed of shotgun. Automatic extra cool points for a fully variable model with no part swapping. Quote
paramat Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Check out the video: http://maxharddrive.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/vf-1m-valkyrie-3d-video.html Quote
505thAirborne Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Cool video, I like the way the weapons deploy, neat concept!! Quote
infosys_ms Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) Yeah so, I'm working on my robot. My 8yr old nephew is watching. We start talking on the topic of how long I have been working on it. I tell him its older then he is since I've been working on it for 13 years. He pretty much told me to stop and get a job because nothing takes 13 years. I said "Wii time is over." In Macross time I would have started work around the time the Macross crashed in the Earth. It is 2012 and I'm still not finished, the space war will have been over the earth destroyed and I am still moving points -10mil. Man the words of a child can punch you in the face some times. Quit? HELLS NO, work will continue, more updates soon. Edited October 26, 2012 by infosys_ms Quote
