Mr March Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Alright Oihan and other retro-gaming folk, this one is for you. A co-worker of mine introduced me to this side-scrolling stealth game named Mark of the Ninja and I've been hooked since I saw the first gameplay videos. Giant Bomb has a great half hour video that discusses the game (http://www.giantbomb...-ninja/17-6540/). They talk lovingly of the Metroidvania influence within Ninja, so if your a Castlevania: Symphony of the Night fan like I am, there is much to adore about this assassin-style action game. For what it's worth, IGN also gave this game a great review. I'm very eager to try this one. I've been following it for about a month since I first learned about the title. Looks like it's time to buy another X-Box card with some more points The company that makes the game has an official blog that can be found here: http://www.markoftheninja.com/ Quote
Old_Nash Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 ahh Indie games... They make my happy^^ Quote
xrentonx Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Sounds like a good time. No chance getting this on Steam, eh? Quote
Valkyrie23 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I'm gonna go download this game tonight. I read that it was co-developed by Microsoft Studios and that is why it is exclusive to XBOX 360. I would've liked the ability to play this on my PS VITA. Hopefully PC might be a possibility down the road. Quote
Mr March Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Might take a while, but the game may come to Steam much later. Kinda like Limbo. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Stupid question from not watching the whole video-----is the entire game that dark? I mean, yeah, I get the whole stealth-ninja aspect, but all I saw was pretty much some icons over a black screen. Quote
Mr March Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 It may be time for glasses Seriously though, the only danger the darkened gameplay poses is being too addictive. Quote
Mr March Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 I picked up the game this weekend and it is a ton O' fun. Great controls and gameplay plus a lot of different ways to use your abilities. Will post more as I play. Giant Bomb also released a great review: http://www.giantbomb.com/mark-of-the-ninja/61-37615/reviews/ Enjoy Quote
Mr March Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 This news almost slipped by me, but Mark of the Ninja is lready out now on Steam. Looks like it was released October 16, 2012. I've picked it up this morning on Steam, but didn't have the time to install/play it. I'm unsure if the graphics will be any better or even if there are any display options for the PC version. Regardless, I'm really happy to have this available via Steam for the PC. Quote
