Mommar Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I'm more interested in the UN Spacy versions of the fighters before they were adapted... Me too, as long as it isn't the M3 game versions. Quote
sketchley Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 But the M3 version IS the official version (or became the official version as the design wasn't complete in time for animating the M7+ short that it appears in). Anyhow: VF-14 (complete version): http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Statistics/VF-14/VF14.php VA-14 (rough version): http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Statistics/VF-14/VA14.php Quote
dialNforNinja Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 As you can see from the images on Sketchley's page, the M7 version was basically just a trim variation of the 109A - though no one ever seems to reproduce the two partaial back views from SK's MDW on the VF-14 pages. I've caught a couple of good screen grabs from the animation, too, but haven't gotten around to redrawing it yet, like I did for the AZ-130 gerwalk and the FZ-109 Kai over in Fan Works. It is on the docket, though, just give me some time. Quote

I like the Blackbird-like one better. Quote
valk1j Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 (edited) I like the blackbird one better too. Edited September 20, 2012 by valk1j Quote
dialNforNinja Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 Take a look over in Fan Works... Quote
Kelsain Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I like the blackbird one better too. What the what! Where's that from? It's a sweet scratchbuild! Quote
dialNforNinja Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 There was apparently an IHP gk at one point, though that was at least part swap variable and this one looks F only... I'm pretty sure it too was a gk though, I found a picture that's pretty surely the same sculpt painted olive green where the black should be. Quote
paramat Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 (edited) Hey DNN, your AZ-130 gerwalk is awesome, i love it, but to make it even better i thought i'd suggest flipping the kneecaps forward to make way for the reverse bend of the knees. At the moment in your drawing, the kneecaps seem to occupy the same space as the upper legs. I woud love to see a revised drawing coloured by Mr March and added to the Macross Mecha Manual. dialNforNinja Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Say March, how's the Varauta heavy update coming? It's been a while since you mentioned it. And I probably should do what Paramat suggested, but aside from the VF-27Kai I've been drawing original variable devices to use in a noninfringing game, if I ever get a working computer again to model them and the programming skill to stich Irrlicht, Irrklang, and a whole lot of behavior and content scripting together to make on. The power of (my lack of) Macross30 compels me. Edited March 3, 2013 by dialNforNinja Quote
dialNforNinja Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 Ah, I know how that can be, especially for anything that is technically a hobby but still requires organisation skills - such as managing a web site Quote
Mr March Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 The problem with working on my site is I bounce around from one piece of art to the next, working upon whatever appeals to me on the day. Sure I finish them, but with Macross that always leaves the other "mode" to scan/color/finish too. In addition to that, I always get into these projects that have larger implications than just one piece of art; for example, I revised the GU-11 Gun Pod...which means I have to revise all gun pods site-wide. Because you can't have one awesome looking gun pod and all the rest looking like crap, LOL! I actually have a spreadsheet I use to track all my projects in various stages of completion There is a truck load of new content finished and ready to go. I just have to complete about half a dozen projects and the update is ready. For the Varauta, the Fz-109A Fighter mode is the last thing left to do and all the Varauta mecha have been revised. Quote
