Mommar Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Their final fight scene was filmed in Chama??? I didn't know they filmed this in New Mexico. Spoiler Both send offs to Xavier and Logan were better than their terrible Comic Book versions. Quote
Mommar Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Okay, I've figured it out. The other movies are what happens in the comic books as seen in Logan but they aren't the reality. Quote
myk Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 (edited) Just saw this movie last night. I'll say it is simultaneously my favorite super-hero movie, as well as one of the saddest movies I've ever experienced. I was truly depressed leaving the theater. And how long has this movie been showing? The theater was packed for this... Edited March 25, 2017 by myk Quote
Big s Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 This really was a new milestone for superhero films. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Saw it Two days ago, quite entertaining, really liked it and one of the best superhero movies but sad. X23/ Laura was awesome. Quote
TangledThorns Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 (edited) Saw it with the wife tonight. Great film and kicked my ass on an emotional level. Dads who saw it and have a little girl or girls will get what I'm saying. Last but not least, this film and Hugh Jackman deserve at least a Oscar nomination. kajnrig Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I dunno about that much, but it is a good movie. That ending was all sorts of cheese, though, and kind of took me out of the movie. Laura calling him "Daddy" was way out of left field considering who they are and how they'd interacted with each other up to that point. Then she and the others give him a cairn burial and put in the cross, and she deliberately changes it to an X. That level of cheese was duuuumb. First Class is still a better overall X-Men movie, but this is as good as a Wolverine movie was ever going to get, I think. I'm glad they decided to get rid of the baggage of all the other movies, too. The relationship between Logan and Charles got a bit too real for me at times, made me honest to god tear up at one point. Quote

Convectuoso Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Just saw it with my wife. We both agree that it's the best of the Wolverine films by far. Quote

Was just discussing with a coworker that the Wolverine films improved dramatically with each sequel. I can't think of any trilogy that is like that. Closest is LOTR but they're all equally great IMHO. Typically its the the third film that is weakest in a trilogy. Quote

But I like Phantom Menace more than Attack of the Clones, and even if Revenge of the Sith is the best, it's still not good... Quote
sh9000 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 That figure looks hideous. Here's a better looking one. Quote
TangledThorns Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Just watched X-Men: Apocalypse over the weekend on HBO. I never want to see that film again, it's the worst X-Men film IMHO. Yes, I thought it was worse than United and Origins. Bryan Singer seems only capable of making good movies or dumpster fires. Quote
myk Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 I couldn't even watch Apocalypse through all the way the first time, I thought it was that bad... Quote
Big s Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 It's hard to defend any X Men movie after seeing Logan. Quote
sh9000 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) My wife and I still enjoy all X-Men movies. Still waiting to see what is the release date of the blu-ray. Hopefully before June. Bought these shirts during a recent sale. Edited April 4, 2017 by sh9000 Quote

I wonder if they ever entertained the idea of releasing it in B&W as an original format? It definitely would have earned awards but probably at the cost of ticket sales. sh9000 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I probably can't watch it on that day. It would be cool if this version was also on a bonus disc. Got the blu-ray with black and white photo book and free $5 gift card preordered at Target. http://www.target.com/p/logan-target-exclusive-blu-ray-dvd-digital/-/A-52330134 Quote
