Negotiator Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 So now wolverine 2 is erased? I guess technically it could be but that would mean every movie with wolverine after dofp never happened and pointless. Quote
sh9000 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) Most events could have happened similarly up to the point where Wolverine wakes up in the future. Just no more Sentinels in the future to kill everyone. Happy Birthday Hugh Jackman. Edited October 12, 2016 by sh9000 Quote
Negotiator Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Right. I'm assuming he still had his japan adventure and got his claws broken off at the end. Quote
Dynaman Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Doesn't Jean Grey live in the new timeline? If so he has no reason to go off all grumpy and moody and hence no reason to end up losing his claws. Quote
sh9000 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) Yes it's on their instagram. Edited October 20, 2016 by sh9000 Quote
miles316 Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Has Patric Stuart finally become a Old man or did they just use makeup. Quote
Mommar Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Has Patric Stuart finally become a Old man or did they just use makeup. Makeup... but why is Professor X still alive at this point? Also, if the rumor that this is Laura is true how is she supposed to replace Wolverine in the "proper" films when they're stuck back in the 80's/90's? Or will they time-travel her at the end of this film too. Quote
Negotiator Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 i think the setting is 2024.. it's not that far in the future for prof to be dead. also you can see her 2 claws in a shot. but i don't know much about her.. does she have full adamantium laced skeleton? just wondering, because she still needs to grow up. lol. In the comics all she had was Adamantium laced claws. I don't recall seeing her claws in the trailer though. Quote
TangledThorns Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Helluva trailer. Looks more like a art house indie Oscar winning film than what we've seen before so I looked up the director, James Mangold, on IMDB. He directed Walk the Line. The film about Johnny Cash Quote
electric indigo Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 He also directed "The Wolverine"... Trailer looks pretty good, though, a welcome change from the abundance of aliens, super villains & cities falling from the skies. I also liked Mangold's "Identity", "Yuma", "Cop Land" and, of course, "Girl interrupted". All very slow films. Quote
Mazinger Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) Great trailer. Got the feels. *sniff* Maybe I should stop while I'm ahead and keep the story swirling in my imagination after that. At least then I can't be disappointed... Edited October 20, 2016 by Mazinger Quote
Negotiator Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 you can see her claws here...technically you don't see her, but...is it even a secret this is x23? Quote
Mommar Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Thanks, it took me a few watches but I figured it out. I had to point it out to my brother too. Quote
Hikuro Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 trailer sold me alone with the Johnny Cash song. Quote
Big s Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I've seen every X men film good and bad. I will definitely see this. Quote
peter Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Who did they bury? Yeah, +1 on the Johnny Cash song, that really sold me as well. Quote
Mommar Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 The song choice was inspired marketing for sure. Quote
jenius Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Not a Johnny Cash song... Just Johnny cash singing it. Nitpick FTW. Quote

Mommar Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Yeah, yeah. We all know it's Nine Inch Nails. The difference is this version doesn't suck. Quote
