MikeRoz Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Anyone had the nose simply fail on them? The entire nosecone/crotch assembly from 3-06 and forward just pulled away from 3-05. The edges on the tabs that hold A-08 and A-09 into A-02 and A-04, respectively, just pulled away from the rest of the tab, allowing the nosecone to come free. A-04 also developed some cracks in the area around the tab. No pics, because I've glued it together as best I can and all that's visible now is a hairline crack in A-04. But I don't know if I'll ever trust it in battroid again... Quote
Armor 1 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 This looks like a sweet piece, unfortunately I missed the boat on the preorders. Looks like it is sold out at most online vendors. Oh well, I'll keep looking. Quote

Gakken85 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Hate to necro a thread, but I'm having a bitch of a time getting the antenna arm part off my V2 Elint so I can pack it up to move. The piece that rotates with the main antenna on the arm.. the base won't budge, and I feel like If I put too much pressure on the swiveling piece it might snap. I know it's tight, as I bought it new and it's never been transformed.. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
Scyla Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I think Veef over at CollectionDX shot a review for the Elintseeker including a transformation guide. Maybe that is some help Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Ill check it out. Sucker won't come off, but maybe I'm a soft touch haha. Quote
skullmilitia Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 You gotta get a finger nail under the attachment point. Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 yeah, I don't really have nails. haha. Have to figure something out. Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 You can wedge a small flat headed precision screwdriver in there or the edge of an xacto knife. Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Got it this morning. I have a little coated hair pin that I've flattened out to prevent scratches. I pulled up on it, got it in there and pried up. That plastc is tougher than you would think haha Quote
skullmilitia Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Yeah the VE-1 has brute tough parts, except when Yamato sends you two of the same arm attachments. And by that I mean both the lasers and the radar and left arm mounts attached. Quote
Gakken85 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Yeah it's an interesting piece. Really love it in Valk mode. Quote
YF-29 Durandal Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 So what do you guys think about the RVF-25 compared to the VE-1? Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Can't beat the VE-1, it's a classic. Quote
Scyla Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 (edited) I think it cannot beat the VE-1 because the Elintseeker hat more stuff going on. Custom Fast Packs, Wings, it is a two seater and has more antennas then the RVF-25. The RVF-25 just looks like a normal Messiah, the VE-1 is more unique looking. The RVF-25 has drones though. And I hate the head of the VE-1! It is just terrible. The RVF-25 looks like Gogo Dodo and that is awesome. Edited October 25, 2013 by Scyla Quote
anime52k8 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I like my RVF-25 more than my VE-1 because my RVF-25 isn't broken. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I like my RVF-25 more than my VE-1 because my RVF-25 isn't broken. I thought you'd gotten another one when it was reissued, to replace the broken one. Quote
Gakken85 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I'll always favor sdf designs over frontier. I like both but the rvf doesn't have a lot going on other than a cool paint job and the spin extension gimmick on the dish. Quote
skullmilitia Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Agreed, it's also just a standard 25' with a Dish and radar fin, where as the VE-1 is a completely different air frame from the VF-1 and has unique super parts. The VE-1 is a beautiful baby! Quote
xrentonx Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Kinda regret not buying the second one when they re-released it. Quote
Scream Man Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 i regret not getting one as well, but i could never quite justify the price. Quote
Mommar Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Kinda regret not buying the second one when they re-released it. I feel the exact same way. I actually sat at HKCollectibles debating it for a few days, decided to pull the trigger and discovered they sold out during my waffling. Oh well. Quote
