DarrinG Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I think the M&M valks will come the option parts as well, and we'll see a TV FP release around the same time later next year. I'm so glad the TV stuff will come second as I need as much time as possible to save up... Quote
Benbot Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I got into Macross only after the super parts went out of production and became hard to find, so this is great news for me. Any idea if this is going to be a limited release or if we'll see these in pretty much all the big online retailers of Macross items? Quote
MikeRoz Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I find it so strange that so many people need SSP's I have 5x of the separate ones and 1x set that came with the VF-1S super strike plus bundle. You have more SSPs than I have valkyries. Quote
CF18 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) Any idea if this is going to be a limited release or if we'll see these in pretty much all the big online retailers of Macross items? Only the unpainted VF-1D, VF-4 and 1:2000 micro VF-1 has the red "やまとWEB限定販売商品" text on them, so all the other listed items are regular release. Edited August 29, 2012 by CF18 Quote

That is a cool timeline. Wow, 2008-2010 was a heck of a period for Macross fans. So many releases over that time frame. 2011+ ain't too shabby either. Quote
connor99 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Very nice indeed. I can't believe it's been 12 years since the initial release of the 1/72 scale MAC plus toys. Quote
Vostok 7 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Very nice indeed. I can't believe it's been 12 years since the initial release of the 1/72 scale MAC plus toys. It makes me feel old is what it does Quote
Loop Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 It makes me feel old is what it does LOL, I am with you man. The sad part is I skipped all the Yamato valks up until the 2006 releases and just thinking back 6 years is making me feel old Quote
Swoosh Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 1/72 YF-19 is the toy that bring me back to Macross universe. Quote
ff95gj Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I am glad that I got into the game in time in 2008. Oh it's only 4 years for me... Quote
Valkyrie Magnus Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 My first yamato vf-1 was around 2002 i picked up the v1 1/60 Max VF-1j then got the 1/48 VF-1A Hikaru. So that makes it 10 yrs for me collecting. I did stop in 2008 but have come back! Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 1/72 YF-19 is the toy that bring me back to Macross universe. It's the toy that got me into the Macross toy universe. I still remember seeing the Toycom ads in comic books back in the day, remember my disappointment in the constant delays and eventual cancellation and how I got my first Yamato off of Yahoo! Auctions (the US site) for around $ 75 shipped. On topic I'll probably skip these VF-1 Super/Strike part sets, again, never really saw the need. I prefer the bundles and not every VF-1 I buy needs additional armor or parts. -b. Quote
Raptor One Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I remember drooling over pics of the 1/72 YF-19 back in the day too. I thought it looked sooooo good haha. Pity I was too young to afford one, then again maybe that wasn't such a bad thing Quote
3D-Brainx Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I also started in 2008, with a 1/60 YF-19. I'm a little sad I missed 8 years a joy but on the other hand, seen how well the toys evolved, I'm also glad I started in 2008 Quote
Mommar Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Looks like I got lucky too. I didn't bother to start really looking for these toys until 2008-2009 as well. Quote

Same here, I knew about Robotech and I had bought one of those old Revell fully transformable VF-1 model kits at an antique store but it was missing parts so I came on here way way back when (2000-2001) in order to find out more about it and try to get parts. Around the same time I found the Toycom ads for the YF-19 and had to have it. Placed a pre-order with a member on here who had a shop and the rest was history. My dad and grandpa ended up getting me the whole Mac+ set in Singapore from a member on here who had a shop there, that was probably 2002 when the VF-11 came out. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Lucky, all my purchases have come via internet. To this day I wish I had a close friend or family member, or better yet the means to travel and pick up all the cool stuff I want. And that first hunt, it's what led me to Macross World to begin with. -b. Quote
Gian Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 VF-19A ravens It would look awesome in 1/60 scale. Quote
Jasonc Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 VF-19A ravens It would look awesome in 1/60 scale. I still can't figure out why they won't do one of those? I've wanted one ever since they did the 19 in 1/60 scale. Now they have a beautifully engineered 19 version, and they need to get that out. Quote
Gian Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I don't know either, we are sure they have the rights do to the VF-X valks. It'd be an instant purchase for me. Quote
Chronocidal Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Well, I'd rather see a Ravens VF-11 personally, but either would be nice. I don't want to see any more YF-19 variants until they make a v.2 YF-19 though. The old one just doesn't hold up anymore. Quote
Mommar Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I thought the 19A was still in the same body style as the YF-19? The Raven's style wouldn't work on the later body styles. An 11 would look really cool though. Quote
Omegablue Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Anyone know when they're up for pre-order? Can't find them on Amiami or HLJ? Quote
Valkyrie Magnus Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Not yet I keep checking the sites for updates Quote

troyness Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 So I guess there,ll be no option parts for the cavaliers, as to not want to piss off people who,ve already bought one? The VF-1S,s & 1J that aren,t pictured with super/strike ...aren,t coming with super/strike? Sorry the thread topic is abit vague , can anyone who knows or can read japanese clarify? Thanx. Quote
VF5SS Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 They're probably going to do the TV style Super Parts for the VF-1J Quote
Dutch Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Got my order in, one VE-1 and four strike parts sets. October is going to be really expensive. Quote
Chronocidal Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Woo, can finally tentatively check the VE-1 off my "to get" list. Only getting two sets of strike packs though, since that will cover my DYRL CF, and one other random VF-1.. possibly a custom, once I build my kits. Quote
Hikuro Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Ugh, looks like I'll have to hold off on getting the iphone 5 me thinks. I really n eed these super packs. but I have to wait until payday to preorder these. Quote
