jvmacross Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 So what was supposed to be next has officially been back-burnered. and that was?.......
EXO Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Source: Yamato blog. That's just the result of a tutorial build up by KuWa from Frame-Out Models commisioned by Yamato. They do some of the builds for Macross The Ride for Dengeki Hobby and also they also make the conversion kits to turn Hasegawa models into Macross The Ride customs. We gave away their VF-171 resin kit at MacrossWorld 2010. http://www.facebook....&type=1
sreichma Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) The Zentradi fighter jets or any enemy mecha would be nice. I always thought a Diorama with enemy mecha being studied like an R/D wing would be bad ass. Reality is its a business though, although the collectors would buy the enemy, I don't know if the overall sales would be there to compensate for the creation of the line. On another note, does anyone see a reissue of Max's VF1J on the horizon for next year? I think they would scream off the shelves like the super strike parts did. Edited November 25, 2012 by sreichma
jvmacross Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 A modern day Destroid conversion kit...ala Takatoku....would be great...and a good way of getting the Phalanx toy version....
lechuck Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Just make a plain and simple - no fancy gimmicks - mass release VF-5000, that is close the 100€ mark. That or a SW-XA1 Schneeblume would be cool.

danth Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I'd like a Super Ostrich re-release first, then bring on the Schneeblumes.
skullmilitia Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I'd like a Super Ostrich re-release first, then bring on the Schneeblumes. I tend to think this will be the next release, it's the last of the DYRL "unique" Valks
505thAirborne Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Unpainted-molded in Grey plastic 1/60 un-assembled kits. VF-1, VF-11, YF-19 and YF-21 types.
GU-11 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I tend to think this will be the next release, it's the last of the DYRL "unique" Valks I'll be watching this forum like a starving hawk these next few months.

Froy Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Was looking at the photo No 3 in this sequence http://www.macrossworld.com/3694/vf-4g-yamato-open-showroom-2012/#more-3694 and noticed the big 30th anniversary logo in the cab. Does this mean that all valks will be reissued for the 30th anniversary?
Reïvaj Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 No, I guess that logo only means that the event took place during the 30th anniversary.
Kicker773 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I'm going to copy and take a pic of my valks lining up like that when my new computer table arrives.
David Hingtgen Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 'tis what it says. The SW-XA-1. (I prefer the SW-XA-2, myself) One of Kawamori's not-quite-canon designs.

Don't know what that is, or "when" it's from, as I stopped watching Macross after 'Zero; what era does that represent? I'm assuming it's pre-Zero... Edited December 13, 2012 by myk
Ignacio Ocamica Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Don't know what that is, or "when" it's from, as I stopped watching Macross after 'Zero; what era does that represent? I'm assuming it's pre-Zero... It's a design from Kawamori for the Experimental variable fighter program for the Character Model magazine. It's not pre-Zero, it's the other way round actually. Kawamori used elements from the SW-XA1 and incorporated them when he designed the VF-0. Macross Compendium: The United Nations Forces presented to every manufacturer the required specifications for SWX (Stealth Wing X), a programme to combine high stealthiness with air combat capabilities exceeding that of the VF-17. The United Nations Forces intended to assign the VF-17 the primary mission of long-range attacks, which would entail the need for a separate variable fighter for air superiority and defense. The SW-XA1 was created as an experimental plane for these required specifications. The VF-1 Valkyrie was chosen as the basis for the SW-XA1 due to the abundance of combat data during actual warfare. This base design was improved to current standards by equipping it with upgraded engines and avionics.
jvmacross Posted December 13, 2012 Author Posted December 13, 2012 Getting pretty close to the end of 2012.........should be receiving news on Yamato's next BIG release soon....maybe? TV SDF-1 or Battle 7 would be nice....
