peter Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 http://www.amazon.com/Macross-VF-1A-Visibility-Limited-Edition/dp/B0081CPOXM Are you kidding me???? Is there anyone in the world willing to pay $599.99 for this??? Hell, if that's the case, I'll sell mine in a heartbeat! Are these things worth that much? Quote
funkymonkeyjavajunky Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 There are many items on Amazon seriously overpriced. It doesn't mean they will ever sell. But, if you have the only one for sale, people will take notice. Quote
505thAirborne Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 How could anyone pass up that price? I think I'll get both before anyone else does!! (Note the sarcasm) Quote
peter Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 That's nuts. I remember one of the older chunky monkeys (Hikaru VF-1A Strike) used to sell for a lot...$400 or something like that if it was brand new, in box. Quote
kanedaestes Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Yeah that's about right for that. They were a very small run so it has gotten harder to find and more expensive. Quote
ErikElvis Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 he's prob related to this guy http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamato-Macross-1-60-VF-1S-Strike-Valkyrie-Hikaru-Ichijyo-Type-/150873680736?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2320c5ab60#ht_2975wt_979 Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I didn't even feel that it was worth the ~$120-150 it would have cost to get one when it first came out. Yamato's early attempts at weathering on that thing looked terrible. It just ended up looking like someone with dirty hands had handled the thing and left dirty fingerprints all over it. Quote
Renato Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 "Ships from and sold by Tisinc99." Isn't Tisinc on the blacklist? I've heard that name. Quote
Uxi Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Still one of my favorite Yamato valkyries ever. Wish they would do a 1/60 in both 1A and 1J versions with modern weathering. Quote
mass driver Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) TISINC aka treasure island sports. Yes, they are in the blacklist. They have a booth at Frank N Sons. Customer service is hit and miss. I've bought stuff from them before and theirs is usually priced on the high end. This takes it to a whole new level though. MikeRoz Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I bought a 1/48 Hikaru VF-1S and a super/strike parts set from him through Amazon before they got expensive. Didn't have any problems. Quote
Loop Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 (edited) I have bought from them a few times, really as a last resort if the item cannot be found anywhere. I still refuse to buy from them though if the price is extreme. Edited August 12, 2012 by Loop Quote

1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 (edited) Yamato should do version 2 1/48 one day. All the gimmicks of the old 1/48 kept intact, include improvements from 1/60 ver2 line (better articulation, feet thrusters that don't look fake etc) , and designed it for 2 seater variants and GBP armour this time. (1/48 never got 2 seater variants) You'll say: "No way I have just completed my 1/60 vf-1 collection. I will never buy more VF1 toy ever again." Yamato will laugh and release a whole new 1/48 range of vf-1 toys and you do the opposite of what you said. Because the new ones are better than the old one. (1/60 ver2 has a long neck, old 1/48 had GBP big boobs, old 1/48 has tiny hands, 1/60 ver2 has no gunstrap, etc etc) Edited August 12, 2012 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 (edited) I would buy a ver 2 1/48 VF-1 if it's an upscaled 1/60 ver 2 (awesome proportions)!!! Edited August 13, 2012 by Ignacio Ocamica Quote

Didn't have any problems. I was talking about the 1/55 scale chunky monkey Hikaru Strike. Wayyyyyyyyyy back before the Yamatos were even out.Looks like one just went on our very own forum for way less than that nut job on Amazon: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37258 Edited August 13, 2012 by peter Quote
