KH355hamdi Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) This guy should play Wolverine. http://youtu.be/s3wDj7bYve0?t=3m56s Edited November 29, 2013 by KH355hamdi Quote
Mommar Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Well, he's in shape and he can snarl but how does that prove he should "play" Wolverine? What little acting to be done in that skit was already pretty poor. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) No Sentinels = not a good teaser/trailer. -b. Edited January 24, 2014 by Kanedas Bike Quote
505thAirborne Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 If you blinked your eye you missed the brief round of footage shown. I'll be happier when I see an actual trailer! Quote
areaseven Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I'm surprised no one here caught this - Rogue has been cut from the film. “Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous. It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.” - Bryan Singer Quote
anime52k8 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I've never liked the film version of Rogue anyways. She was basically as useless and annoying as Jubilee in the 90's cartoon series. Quote
Mommar Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Rogue was pretty much pointless in the films. They kind of tried to make her the "kid" Wolverine looks after, like Kitty and Jubilee in the comics, but instead she was just irritating and worthless. Quote
Golden Arms Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Yeah I heard about that last month on AMC movie review. Such a shame as I was hoping that they would rectify her waste in Last stand. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I'm pretty sure the magazine pics/behind the scenes stuff of Rogue in X3, had more exposure than her actual film appearance in X3. True--what a waste. Quote
areaseven Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Regardless of what the comic purists think of Anna Paquin's portrayal of Rogue, it was a waste to just ditch her DOFP footage. Take into consideration that she's a past Oscar winner (Best Supporting Actress in The Piano, at age 11) and she participated in last year's Comic-Con to promote the film. All of that, for nothing. But as Bryan Singer mentioned, that footage will be on the Blu-ray/DVD bonus features. Maybe even on a Director's Cut edition. Quote
taksraven Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Christopher Lee got really annoyed when his footage was removed from the theatrical cut of Return of the King. He boycotted the opening as a result. Still hasn't prevented his involvement in LOTR since then though, but he made his feelings clear about being cut from the theatrical version at the right time. (His footage was reinstated in the Extended Edition of course) Quote
azrael Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Empire is running with 25 covers of the movie. The next trailer should be showing up soon. Quote
azrael Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Empire Magazine's 25 covers revealed a little tidbit Past Sentinel Future Sentinel Nimrod? Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 The Sentinels look good. I was waiting to see if anyone posted about Quicksilver and the internet fan-rage that's apparently going on. Personally I think his costume looks horrible, and along with Bishop and Sunspot for the worst of the group. IMHO future Wolverine, Blink and poor Rogue look the best. Everyone else and their respective costume/uniforms are "meh". -b. Quote
Duke Togo Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I'm having a hard time letting go of how ridiculous these costumes look. Quote

EXO Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 "Well, what would you prefer? Yellow spandex?" Why is that always the go to reply when people critique movie super hero costumes? First Class had it right... Magnetos Helmet alone was way better in that movie. Suckage is suckage, and Bryan singer's costume sensibilty sucked across 2 superhero movie-verses. Quote

EXO Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Indignant fanrage cracks me up. Sorry... I wasn't gonna say anything and I know thats a quote from the first movie but those covers look ridiculous. Call it a non-fan rage. Quote
Vepariga Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 New trailer is amazing, I'm quite excited for this. cant wait to see it Quote
Dangard Ace Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Too much Wolverine. Anybody get a Fury vibe from the sentinel look? Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Okay, now I'm excited for this. *Agree, but Wolverine has undoubtedly become the face of the X-Men movie-verse/franchise so there's no way around that. But who knows this movie might still have one of the most iconic Wolverine comic moments in the film. -b. Quote

Knight26 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Bah, no Cyclops, no Jean Grey, too much Wolverine, no thanks. Though I do like the first class crew, hmmm, now I'm torn Quote
azrael Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Too much Wolverine. *Agree, but Wolverine has undoubtedly become the face of the X-Men movie-verse/franchise so there's no way around that. Isn't the comic called "Wolverine and the X-Men" these days? Quote
Mommar Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Other then being the primary vehicle did everyone complaining about "too much Wolverine" not notice that except for a tiny bit of dialog almost the entire trailer is interaction between Xavier and Magnus? Wolverine might be in it but so far what they've shown is a lot of Magneto/Professor X interaction driving the story, as it should be. Quote
Duke Togo Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Better trailer than what we've seen before, but I still can't get that Bryan Singer taste out of my mouth. Quote
Mommar Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Considering he's gay that's a fascinating comment. Quote
lechuck Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Bah, no Cyclops, no Jean Grey, too much Wolverine, no thanks. This! I lost all faith with Cyclops being reduced to some third tier character and then killed off. Out of all the Marvel movie universes, this is the one that needs a reboot, but noooo it keeps limping on to annoy me. Quote

Any Wolverine is too much Wolverine. Days of Future Past comics Kitty Pryde is the one sent back in time. In this coming movie it looks like Wolverine is the one being sent back. He's basically stealing his protege's role in the movie. Comics DoFP = Kitty Pryde vehicle. Fox Mutant DoFP movie = Wolverine. This link sums it all: https://allthetropes.orain.org/wiki/Wolverine_Publicity I don't remember Magneto/Xavier being featured prominently in the comics in this story arc so it's intriguing. Mystique looks to be taking a more active role. Is it just Jennifer Lawrence or is Rebecca Stamos going to appear as well? This!
