areaseven Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Not too sure why it needs a clear visor, but that does kick ass. Quote
Atharun Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Not bad. Not too sure about the visor but it looks better than the head that fell in the Danger Room in X3. Quote
Duke Togo Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I kinda liked First Class, but haven't liked any of the other X movies. I'm cautiously optimistic for this one because of the story it is tapping into. Quote
areaseven Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) I'll just park these here. Edited July 29, 2013 by areaseven Quote
Hoptimus Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 There is a snippet at the end of The Wolverine that ties right into this. Looks awesome. Quote
Mr March Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Yeah, the stinger at the end of The Wolverine did get me quite excited for this upcoming new X-Men film. Definitely worth staying after the early credits. Quote
Mr March Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Seriously good video. Feels almost like a real commercial, which is what makes it so damned creepy. Quote
Mommar Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I don't know, I don't think they're going to be able to pull this movie off. The first X-Men was okay but Singer had a hard time giving everyone enough to do and that was a MUCH smaller cast. The Second movie was a little better but VERY Wolverine centric. First Class... on first viewing it was middling to okay, not as good as I had hoped given all of the interviews leading up to it, but on second viewing (on my way to Hawaii) it was downright terrible except for the parts where Magneto was hunting down all of the old Nazi's (the scene in Argentina is great.) azrael Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Please tell me it's getting some CG in Post... (spoiler'd for size) Quote
Negotiator Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hope so cuz that looks pretty weak. The comic sentinels look lame too so I hope these look threatening and aggressive. I don't want it to feel like giant iRobots Quote
DuelGundam2099 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Wow, they are actually making models of sentinels, awesome. Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Please tell me it's getting some CG in Post... (spoiler'd for size) So it's going to dry everyone off after they get wet from the rainstorm I take it. Quote
Atharun Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 With Cyclops not being in it, I think I will pass. Tired of the X-Men franchise being used to just give Wolverine supporting characters Quote
Hikuro Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Seeing how Wolverine didn't even enter into the X-men carnage for a long time, yeah it's kinda sad that they're only focus is on Wolverine....guess just cause he's an "unstoppable" force. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 So it's going to dry everyone off after they get wet from the rainstorm I take it. Yeah, but I'm betting the weak point is a small thermal exhaust port right BELOW the main one... Quote
Atharun Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I hope the MK 10 isn't the version from Marvel vs Capcom Quote
Duke Togo Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 With Cyclops not being in it, I think I will pass. Tired of the X-Men franchise being used to just give Wolverine supporting characters You don't know the Days of Futures Past comic story at all, do you? Quote

Vepariga Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I doubt they will have Mohawk Storm in it....I like Mohawk Storm. Quote
Atharun Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 You don't know the Days of Futures Past comic story at all, do you? Actually I do but given how Fox has made the franchise all about Logan, it would be refreshing for someone else to get some attention and Cyclops would be a good fit. I kinda wonder if they will have a future Kitty Pryde warn the modern era version. Quote
Mommar Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Will Rachel Summers be in it? She'd have to be the grand daughter of Havok with how goofy the timeline has become... Quote
Penguin Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 At Comic Con, Singer revealed who does the time travel in Days of Future Past... ... and yeah, it's Wolverine. The movie universe continues to make it all about Logan as much as possible. data-cke-saved-href="http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/confirmed-wolverine-time-travel-days-future-past-152700811.html">http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/confirmed-wolverine-time-travel-days-future-past-152700811.html Don't get me wrong. I'm still really looking forward to this. It just would be nice for them to make another character important once in a while. Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 She'd have to be the grand daughter of Havok with how goofy the timeline has become... Or they will use Hope summers and really screw it all up. Quote

Maybe I should just skip this, lol. Quote
Mommar Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Or they will use Hope summers and really screw it all up. That would make things ever more confusing then they already are. Even people who follow the comics would have a hard time tying in all together. Outside of First Class, I haven't really liked any of the X-Men movies. Maybe I should just skip this, lol. And First Class was pretty terrible to begin with. Quote

Mommar Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 It's not great, but it's better than the other ones. The Fassbender scene's at the bank and the bar in Argentina are the only two scenes I would say raise it above the other X-Men movies. Otherwise, just as bad IMO. Quote
azrael Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 Looks like there will be a trailer next week: http://t.co/eGnmKF1RDs Quote
Duke Togo Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) The new trailer is not well done at all. And it's doubly cursed by looking like a last-gen comic book movie rather then a current-gen. Of course, as we all know, a trailer does not make a movie. Oh, and Sunshine. Edited October 29, 2013 by Duke Togo Quote
Mr March Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Trailer worked for me. The performances look really good, which was the best thing about the last X-film. That being said, I'm getting really tired of these generic "epic-trailers" that simply rip off Zimmer's score from Inception. It's either the big boom...or the sad piano (in this case the latter). Either way it's damn annoying. Quote
