azrael Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 Didn't know there was that much money to make multiple Helicarriers... Quote
aerocombatpilot Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I never liked Captain America much, but I didn't mind him in The Avengers. I didn't like Stark making fun of him and wanted Cap to punch Tony's lights out just to shut him up (even though Iron Man is my 2nd favorite character). Trailer looks good enough to go see it in theaters; I waited for the first one to come out on DVD. Looks like the Captain is going to bump heads with SHIELD, which is fine but he better not be responsible for that Heli-Carrier crashing!! Quote
Uxi Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 That trailer is pretty good especially since I normally find Captain American to be a fairly... corny... character and they almost entirely ignore the real cultural implications of such a hypothetical. Quote
areaseven Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 This has the potential to be better than Iron Man 3, Thor and possibly Captain America: The First Avenger. Quote
Mommar Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I hope this turns out good. I didn't find the trailer for the first Cap to be very enticing, nor either of the Thor Trailers, and I was pretty disappointed in Iron Man 3's execution despite how much I loved the brave use of Blue as the intro song. I don't want to get hyped up but I feel like this trailer is far more interesting for me personally. Quote
hutch Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Ok, I'm dying to know, is the comment about the choice of Blue being "brave" sarcastic? And if not, how is it "brave"? Quote
Duke Togo Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Looking good. It's a shame I already know who the Winter Soldier is. Quote
PetarB Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Well, even if you didn't before - that trailer very clearly shows his face. Quote
Duke Togo Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 "Very clearly" is pushing it. Your average moviegoer won't recognize him. Quote
Hoptimus Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Yeah none of my non comic book friends know nor does my wife. Only us dorks know. Quote
Dobber Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Yup, I only know because it was spoiled for me, and I still couldn't tell who it was in the trailer. Chris Quote
derex3592 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I have zero idea who it is. so everybody keep quite! Movie looks pretty cool. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Yeah, Winter Soldier's identity seems to be "less-known" among movie-goers and superhero-fans than I thought. I mean, I've never read any Captain America comics ever, and I know who he is. (and it was rumored/set-up in the other movies of the "Avengers" series) (trying to be as non-spoilery as possible) Quote
Dangard Ace Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Winter. Soldier. Those are all the clues you need to guess metal arms identity. Quote
azrael Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Yeah, Winter Soldier's identity seems to be "less-known" among movie-goers and superhero-fans than I thought. His identity is less know to the general public because he was introduced only back in 2005. Besides the geeks, the general public doesn't really "know" the character. All the general public knows is that Sebastian Stan is portraying him and he also portrayed Bucky in the 1st movie. They don't really know the rest of the story. Quote
Axelay Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I am ridiculously excited about this movie now. Quote
EXO Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I don't even think they'll figure it out who it is until flashback to the shot of him from the first movie. Quote

Duke Togo Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 How is that even a spoiler? Read the thread, some people don't know. Quote
azrael Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Might want to throw some spoiler tags on that, Az. That's just IMDB listings. I can't even be sure they'll follow the original story. Quote
Uxi Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Even without knowing the story (I never really cared much for comics in general and don't know any of the big Marvel backgrounds beyonds the most famous like Spiderman, etc) It seemed so obvious what would happen when I saw the first movie. Anytime in a movie you don't see the body, especially a superhero movie but also dramas and even comedies , you should suspect what's going to happen. Quote
hutch Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 If people don't know things that happened 9 years ago, that's no longer a spoiler. Quote
Duke Togo Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 If people don't know things that happened 9 years ago, that's no longer a spoiler. Most of us going to see these movies don't read comics. It's still a spoiler. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I agree-----I don't spoil LOTR/Hobbit stuff for people, even though the books are generations old by now. Some people really just like the movies, and intentionally don't read the books (comics or otherwise) to avoid spoilers. Quote
