azrael Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Only because they've announced it at SDCC 2012... For those that are not familiar the "Winter Soldier", I'd suggest some light reading of Captain America Vol. 1: Winter Soldier-graphic novel. Or just look it up on Wikipedia. Quote
GMANIFESS Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 but what time frame is it...? Modern day with a lot of flashbacks? Quote
myk Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Guess I'd better get around to watching the first one... Quote
Golden Arms Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 It will likely take place in modern times. If they like, they can explore the winter soldiers background over the years. If they set this up, he could make an appearance in the next Avengers film in some fashoin. For those not familiar with the winter soldier, check out Ed Brubakers run on captain America. Some of the best work Marvel has put out in recent years, highly recommend. Quote
Lobizon Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Anthony Mackie in Talks to Play Falcon in 'Captain America' Sequel (Exclusive) Quote
azrael Posted July 25, 2012 Author Posted July 25, 2012 Guess this little blurb slipped pass most people coming off the SDCC-high during panel night. Anthony and Joe Russo will co-direct this film. I know nothing of these 2 brothers except they have a background in TV. Here's their resumes: Anthony Russo Joe Russo Quote
kanedaestes Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Community and Arrested Development, sooo they know comedy lol. Let's see them do action but they honestly have a better pedigree than most. Quote
azrael Posted July 25, 2012 Author Posted July 25, 2012 Community and Arrested Development, sooo they know comedy lol. Let's see them do action but they honestly have a better pedigree than most. Well, Favreau had a less then spectacular resume when he started Iron Man so while I remain skeptical, I'll wait and see what they produce. Quote

azrael Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 Cap's new suit: And yes, I think I know where they got the suit design from... (spoiled' for size) At least the belt is a different color and stands out from the suit unlike Whedon's. Quote
Hoptimus Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I like that suit a lot more! I really liked the suit in Captain America and was not a fan of the Avengers version of the suit. Quote
Knight26 Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 I agree with MMX. I was thinking about something this AM on the drive in, Tony Starks dad had to be pushing 60 when Tony was born if we assume that IM and Avengers takes place in modern day, and really if you watch IM, almost everything Tony makes he based on his fathers work, hmmm. azrael Posted April 11, 2013 Author Posted April 11, 2013 I did notice one thing....They forgot to paint on the wings on the cowl. Quote
Noyhauser Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 So apparently the Phase One Blu-ray set has a bunch of extras (Spoiler'd for size) The Master Chief called... he wants his pelican back. Quote
azrael Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 Anthony Mackie on set, in costume. Anthony Mackie Spotted As ‘The Falcon’ On Set of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER I'm guessing the wings will be added in post for this scene. About the costume....soooooo....generic. Not impressed. And more concept art: New CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Details And Concept Art Revealed I'm sure the spies are looking for Sebastian Stan to appear in costume on set. Quote
azrael Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 So is that Nomad in the second link? No. It's the guy in the title for this movie. In case I forgot to mention, people may want to check out some graphic novels to get an idea about this story: http://www.amazon.com/Captain-America-Vol-Ultimate-Collection/dp/0785143416/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367528443&sr=8-1&keywords=captain+america+winter+soldier Quote
azrael Posted May 21, 2013 Author Posted May 21, 2013 Some tidbits from recent filming has pointed to another miniseries you may wish to read up on: Nick Fury vs. S.H.I.E.L.D. Quote
Fly4victory Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Interesting combination. So are they going to add a paranoid Fury thinking the Cap is a fake "returning when needed most" al la Ultimates 2? Quote
azrael Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 Another shot of the new suit: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/captain_america/news/?a=81237 Quote
Hoptimus Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I like it but I do miss the red and white band around the waist. Quote
azrael Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Be sure to visit the Marvel booth at SDCC: Quote
Raptor One Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Will buy the Iron Man 3 BluRay just for this one-shot (I happened to like the movie too so that's a plus). More Peggy's always good. Was happy to hear she would be in the film in flashbacks. Would have been really disappointed otherwise. Bracing myself for the inevitable Steve visiting Peggy in the nursing home scene. Manly tears may be shed. Quote
Knight26 Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 so he's back in ww2 uniform good I liked that one Quote
areaseven Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I hate crappy webcam copies. Here's the real video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56ojxpbnfhw Quote
