Mizicke5273 Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 After seeing the pictures on here with the super parts, I decided to pull the trigger on a set. They really do look good on it. Plus I realized it was more than the "harpoon" misslles and two boosters. I did not realize it comes with the wing attachments. Quote
valhary Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) I must insist that is necessary the ozma variant Edited July 3, 2013 by valhary Quote
SaitouSad Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 wouldn't mind 1 at all.. but not before the Isamu custom, please. Quote
mechaninac Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Absolutely. The 30th Aniversary YF-29 was an easy pass for me, but an Ozma version would be a must buy. Quote
Loop Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I would buy both, the Ozma custom and the Isamu custom if they made them. Quote
zzgundam010 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I would buy 3 Ozmas and 2 Isamus! Isamus is coming as a web-exclusive. Could Ozmas be far behind? Quote
mechaninac Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I would expect that an Ozma YF-29 is a near certainty at this point, just a matter of time. Quote
Loop Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) Anyone got pics of the Ozma version? I think it's in a thread somewhere about the hybrid pack release of Sayonara no tsubasa. Someone posted screen shots. **EDIT** Blackace posted pics here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=35313&p=938193 Edited July 14, 2013 by Loop Quote
Mommar Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I'm in for Isamu and an Ozma if they make one (which seems more and more likely.) Quote
mechaninac Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I'd forgotten just how much of a SU-47 Berkut vibe the Ozma YF-29 gives off... Quote
Roy's Blues Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Has anyone found a fix for the loose right intake cover? Mine fell out again last night and the cat went for the "under the stove black hole goal" Quote
Sandman Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 A question about the super packs. I know people have said that the super packs are heavy enough to make the wings droop down but does it do permanent damage? I mean when you take off the super packs will the wings still droop down or be bent down or do they spring back to their original position? I already have the super packs and am dying to put these on but worried about this potential issue. Quote

I already have the super packs and am dying to put these on but worried about this potential issue.I think you misunderstood the comments about droop in this thread. The parts don't cause the wings to droop from weight; when properly attached, the parts themselves droop downward with respect to the plane of the wing. They're molded that way. I just put them on, and even at full extension they didn't appear to move the underlying wing at all. Edited September 19, 2013 by MikeRoz Quote
Chronocidal Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Oh, well there's actually two kinds of droop. The first one, mentioned above, is part of the design. The wing packs do have a downward angle to them. The second type is from the weight of the packs, and could potentially cause the engines to tilt downward if the hinges are loose. Quote
Sandman Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Ah i see. Thanks for the clarification. Quote
Mommar Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 The more I look at it the more I'm thinking I need to track myself down a 30th Anniversary 29. Quote

SilentCrossHairs Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 So glad I bought this. I can stare at it for hours . Would love to get all three. Isamu Ver. is on pre-order. Quote
Loop Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Once I have my Isamu, I will have all three. I am really hoping for the Ozma variant too. Quote
Scream Man Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Yeah i love the 29. i knew i loved the Skull 1, but once I got Alto and liked it just as much, I knew it was the mold that I was a fan of. I'll get Isamus, and certainly be open to the possibility of any others Quote
Sandman Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Last night decided to change the yf-29 back from battroid to fighter. Was a lot more tricky than i thought it would be. I couldn't get the shoulder armour pieces to stay on when positioning back in fighter mode. They would pop off every time. So I figured I'd just put them on after the arms are in position. Couldn't clip them in while the arms were in that position either. Ended up leaving them off. Any one else have this issue? Quote
Scyla Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 You just have to fiddle with them until they fit. I also find it difficult to rotate them into position but after a few tries you should be able to tell how they rotate. I find it weird that you cannot peg the shoulder pauldrons when they rest in their proper positions. Because of this I assume that the arms are not transformed correctly. Quote
Sandman Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Yeah that's possible but i can't see how else they'd fit in. I was watching Jenius' transformation guide but its fighter to battroid so it's hard to watch it in reverse and it doesn't show a clear view of how the arms are suppose to sit. I'll have to bust out the box from storage and see if the instruction manual has a clear view of that step. Quote
locidm Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I had the hardest time too getting my Alto back to fighter mode when I was packing it back in the box. After that I didn't feel like touching the valk again. Actually, I hate transforming all Bandai valks because they're so fidgety! That's why I'd much prefer Yamato/Arcadia stuff. Quote
barurutor Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 i still haven't tried transforming my VF-25Fs to other modes yet. Quote
Scyla Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 The 25s can be transformed with an ease and even fast if you don't care about paint chipping. The YF-29 transformation is basically the same but the crucial part is getting the shoulders rotated in place. The loose c-clips are a mixed bag however. It is good that they detach because otherwise you risk breaking the pauldrons when you rotate them the wrong way. On the other hand they are a bit to loose so that they will inevitably pop off when you handle them. I guess that's the better alternative. Quote
Loop Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 LOL, ask Graham about his feelings when it comes to the YF-29 and shoulder pauldrons popping off Quote
jenius Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I have my 29s out now, maybe I'll spot another transformation video. Quote
Sandman Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I have my 29s out now, maybe I'll spot another transformation video. A battroid to fighter guide would be much appreciated. Or even just a small clip showing how the arms go back in for fighter mode. Quote
Scyla Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Has anyone tried to remove the outer fin of the Super Parts? This is the upwards angled fin with the SMS030 marking and the position light. I'm trying to fit this trident into my display cabinet but cant attach the wing boosters because that would make the Valkyrie to wide. So the idea is to remove the wing that is facing away from the viewer (you wouldn't see it anyway) and get it to fit that way. The fin seems loose and can be moved up a little bit so it seems it is only pegged in. I don't want to force anything so I'm asking is someone has experience with this part. I know some of you customized the set so I would be grateful for any information you have to offer. Quote
Chronocidal Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I know the outer fins can be detached pretty easily, but I don't have mine handy to check how I did it. I know it involved rocking them slightly to pry apart the two halves of the missile pods, but I don't remember which direction I rocked them. Quote
lancalot Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 yeah you can just wriggle it up and down with a little twist and pull it out ... come off fairly easy without breaking and it not glue on like the main pod , I did it to repaint the 30th super for my alto yf29 Quote
